Has anyone here tried using these hydrostabilizers and if so did you find a noticeable result? I know they don't cost much, but being the student that i am every penny counts and I don't wanna waste money on something that i don't think will be beneficial to my wakeboarding experience.

THANKS!!!

On an I/O or outboard they do make a difference, you will plane faster and be able to hold speed better. The down falls are more stress on the lower drive unit and the steering will change. I noticed on one boat we put a "Stingray" brand on the top speed increased but the prop blew out much easier. The other way to do it is to use trim tabs like Bennett makes, but they are more money, although they will allow side to side trim capability.

I had the opposite happen with my boat. The boat planed much quicker but the top end dropped by about 8mph. I don't really care, because all I do with my boat is wakeboard anyways. It was more difficult to steer. It's the price we pay for turning regular boats into wakeboarding boats.
