Quick trip to Huntsville took me through DFW twice. Lakes everywhere and tons of towboats with riders on Wed and Thurs afternoon.

Saw some little puddle and thought, "wonder if that's big enough to drive in?" And sure enough, there's a boat pulling a rider in it.

What a cool place for boating. It's like a lake for each 'burb. Plenty of space for all.

Dallas riders, don't forget to say your thank you's tonight.

Don't be to sure of all that. The lakes around here are all man made. Meaning they are shallow and everyone tears up their boats on stumps and stuff. Also, Dallas gets hot in the summer and everyone wants to go to the lakes to cool off, making them very crowded with a bunch of chuckleheads. However, the boarding scene down here is awesome and you can usually find some good water during the week.
Check out www.dallaswakeboarding.com for all your DFW wakeboarding info.

And...you've got Copper Canyon within city limits!

Chuckleheads are everywhere, but they're seasonal, and you've just got an insane amount of choices when it comes to getting wet.

This weekend, we drove out to Perris which is like 45 minutes only to be turned away cuz the lake was full. In May. And don't think that beacuse they limit the number of watercrafts on the lake that the water stays good or the traffic stays safe.
