I have been saving up for these for my 2005 Armada.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findTireDetail.do?cf=false&sw=false&cs=305&pc=4025 9&rd=22&ar=45

I want to do the 22s as well.. Everyone I have spoke with that has this tire just loves em!

I'm running 305/45/22's on my tahoe. I was told that was the largest sidewall that I could put on there without having serious rub issues. Any less and the ride would be affected, thats the reason I went with 22's as opposed to 24's. With my 22's I don't notice a huge difference compared to stock.

It depends on the width of your wheels. For a 10" wide wheel, I have a 304/40/22....also on my Denali. Rides great, and they don't look like balloon tires like a 45 series tire does.

305/40/22 the best way to do it...

305/40/22 is the same size as stock but im worried the ride would be harsh, is it worth going to a 45 sidewall?

No, the ride is very nice. I have a Denali and can hardly notice the difference. Not to mention, the speedo will be correct even with the bigger wheels.

The 40's are only half an inch wider than the 45s but the height of the tire I believe is an inch in difference. If you go with the 45's the overal tire height will be closer to your stock tire hieght and your speedo will be more accurate

I have 305/40/22 on my 02 yukon and it rides great. IMO the 45 series are too thick.

stock denali tires are 265/70/16 which measures to a 31.6" 305/40/22 measures to 31.6" and 305/45/22 measures to 32.8"

If your speedo is currently set to 31.6" then go with it. My assumption came from my Armada which has the stock tire hieght of 32.8. I personally would rather have the additional weight capabilty of the 45's especially pulling a boat across a long hot desert on my way to Havasu. Tires don't look cool when they strand you on the side of the road

yeah my friend has a denali with 22s and 45s on them and i think it looks great! so i may just do that, i would prefer a little meatier tire

Sean, mine are
305/45/R22

The 45's are what they recommend for towing. They are a little thicker than the 40's but you dont loose the tow rating. And they fill up the wheel well without having to do any major modifications.

I had 26s with 305/30/26 and they rode fine..the ride was very smooth actually.

lol, never heard anyone say 26s, yest alone with a 30 series, rides smooth. lmao....
anyways, Id say for a 22 on a denali the 305-45 is your best bet, as long as you havnt lowered it or anything.
