Just got a new 2007 malibu 23lsv wakesetter.......Took the boat out 3 times already....the 2nd time out the rear ski locker was giving me problems shutting.....The air spring/shock that opens and shuts the ski locker seemed as if it was jamming up.....The third time out to the lake i opened the ski locker and closed it.....opened it again latter in the day and noticed that there was a slight bend in the air/shock that holds open the ski locker......then i closed the locker cuz i couldnt leave it open while under way which made the bend even worse.....do you guys think malibu will warranty for a new shock/spring

Your dealer should take care of you. I am sure he made just enough money to cover a little gas prop strut/rod thingy. I wouldn't consider that a Malibu warranty issue vs. more of a dealer customer service issue(believe it or not sometimes you have to spend some of your own money to keep customers happy.)

Be careful with those shocks. Leaning over the locker to get something out or put something in the locker can bend them. I'm not saying that's what happened, but I've done that several times. Fortunately, they bend back to straight pretty easily. I've never had to replace one yet.

John, I got a 07 lsv and it did that the first day out. like ewing said, I just bending over them makes them bend. I went to pep boys and bought my own replacements that were twice as thick. haven't had a problem since.
