I have a PPI 4125 powering some 6x9's in my boat. I also have a PPI 440 powering some compression drivers. Last summer, I had no problems, no pop or static.

After building a tower box to hold my speakers and getting them all wired I seem to have some amp problems.

When I go from volume 1 to volume 0 I get a pop in the speakers. I can do it constantly by just back and forth, pop pop pop.(From 1 to 0 not from 0 to 1) This amp also now has a static to it that it never had before.

I have isolated the problem to the amp, as I can swap the power and speaker plugs from the 4125 to the 440 and the 440 does not have any problems. It is dead silent all the time. It is the 4125 amp, not wiring.

Any one have any ideas why it may be doing that or what I can do to get it fixed?
