some base editting software

What's some good video editing software I should use starting out? havnt yet but i'm gonna start making my own videos and i dont know where to begin

PC get Pinnacle... simple cheep

Mac... Machines come with iMovie good start....Final Cut Express is a great step up about $200

Be sure you have a firewire card in your machine, a reasonalbly big hard drive 80gig+, 512 ram minimum and decent processor. Read the minimum requirements on the software box and realize you will probably need a bit more than they say you will.

I have had Pinnacle Studio Plus 9 for a couple of years now and version 10 came out recently. I like it for the little I do. I have made some pretty decent DVDs with it for watersports and even a couple of weddings. The base price isn't bad and you can pay for add-ons as you see fit. So I would highly recommend it. Make sure your PC is fairly new if it has a dual core processor even better. Encoding a DVD takes a lot of processing power!
