Hello all,

I have an '06 X-30 and was wondering how any of you with the new style swivle racks handle surf boards??

My boards are too thick to put in the new clamp down racks??
Are there any other good racks that look at home on the MC tower that will accomodate the surf boards and that may even clamp down rather than bungie??

Open to all suggestions or ideas or pix of what others use??

thanks

Andreas

I have no place to put my surfboard either I would be happy with just a surfboard rack of any kind. That thing is huge and takes up tons of space. Any people know of a decent one that isn't rediculously expensive We would buy it.

Proflight makes a rack that holds a surfboard, but it's an older non swivle style.

We just came out with a surf rack with clamp sizes up to 2 7/8". Polished they sell for $308.
Give me a call if you are interested.

The swivel racks on the 05 x2 hold the surfboards perfectly.

I have the Diablo board rack from Get High Sports

http://www.gethighsports.net/

they sell an add-on to accomodate surf boards. It's not a swivel rack.

I have the broadcast 6"1, and would like a rack that fits on top of my tower to hold the surf board. Any suggestions on where to look?

Dakine made "Aero Racks" that were like what TR shows and they work great on towers for a surfboard rack and are under $50. J-Rack (http://j-rack.com/) has a similar design to hold a wakeboard for $80 and has just started advertising in our market. Cool idea! These style racks are not the fastest to get a board in and out of, but if you dont do that very much and just need to store a board to two on your tower they work well.

I recently heard a rumor Monster Tower would be shipping a chrome plated surfboard rack at the same price as the wakeboard racks by November 1st
