Mobius XLV/LSV XLV = starts 45k -- GG fully loaded 60k LSV = starts 38k Outback V = starts 32k hard to beat on 08' V-drive for that, let alone one thats 23ft.

Any Tige www.tige.com They offer a 20' V and D drive, a 21'V-drive, 22' DD, 2 22' V-drives and 2 24' V-drives Very solid boats with great handling and performance. Will handle rough water very well. Deep free-board for a safe, comfortable ride. Lots of seating and storage. Tige offers some great options that allow you to build the boat you want. Great power plant options. 3 yr warranty, life time replacement hull warranty. Try to water test with the family, all the boats that you are interested in, and go with the one that best fits your needs. Good luck.

Your not being really clear man...a malibu is a solid boat to begin with. I have a centurion air warrior and am very happy with the price that I paid and the performance that I get. To answer your question honestly you have to set some better parameters...

I know a group of guys that own several different brands of boats - supra, tige, mc, nautique, and the dreaded 23lsv. From what they tell me when people are looking for a pull the mc and lsv are the ones that they flock to. The nautique(210) gets a lot of pulls but that wake is very love it / hate it.

Bayliner. Also look at Sears row boats - look at the 12 footer with a fractional horse power trolling motor.

BIgLap, I looked at many boats before I bought my Sanger D215. The Malibu 21 Xti was my second choice. The Sanger was also less money for than the Malibu so for me it was a much better boat for the money. Each boat has features or layout that make it 'better' for different people's use. Sanger with a mid engine was better for me but it's not even Sanger's best selling boat, so it's not everyone's best boat for the money. Find a way to spend time in a variety of boats. They're all different in layout, features and ride. Clarify what is most important for you in terms of space and then characteristics. For me it was handling, rough water ride, and rear facing seating. For you it might be much different. Decide on the size. What fits in your storage, and you can tow, and has enough interior space. Good luck helping your friend. Much is personal preference.

If value is your primary factor, go for a 5 y.o. used ride. A few weeks back someone posted they just purchased their 03 Supra SSV for $28K. Thats a lot of wake for the $s.

Dude, I don't think anyone would argue that if only for the wake and X-Star is 2nd to none. If you don't want to pony up for a new one...get an 03 or an 04 for around $50K.
