First I know there are plenty of threads about best for the money. I appreciate any info given. I am thinking between now and next spring will be great for getting a killer price on a boat. I am thinking I can do 30g. What do you guys/gals think is the best wake for 30g, would prefer a v drive for the space. I am use to a SN2001 wake right now. Thanks

Hey Raymond, I would look at Moomba. The Outback V is pretty good boat. My buddy has one that we ride behind.

I would consider Moomba Mobius V, LSV, outback V, 1999-2002 xstar, 99-2004 SAN, 2001-2004 supra SSV, 2001-2005 Calabria Pro-V, 2000-2003 Malibu VLX. Some of these like the older ProV and Mobius V can be had for the 20-25 range. Also I have seen a couple Sanger V215's for not much more than 30. (Message edited by polarbill on July 30, 2008)

No it is my other buddy. He has a red V with no plumbing in the two back lockers so we sack the back seat with 500lbs. Not too shabby. I will try to get some pics if he takes his boat out this weekend. Ur boat not running?

"No pics yet, but if you want a pull, I'll have my sacs on hand." Context, context, context. Lobbing up the softballs for someone to hit this one out of the park.

here in the bay area, my bro just took home a 2005 sanger v215 with 40 hrs on it and it looked better than most brand new 08's sitting on the lot's. he payed the guy 30k and it has it all. no tower speakers though! good size boat, great wake, great all around boat, sangers are solid.

Nah man the SN2001 has been giving me problems for the past 2 months. The last owner installed the Holley Projection system in it. Well I found out after it fried my electrical system that a few things were not hooked up properly or grounded. Already had to replace Alternator, 2 electric fuel pumps ( i am installing mechanical one today), Perfect Pass Display, my stereo is acting up, coil, and I am sure there is more. But I am taking care of it all. Oh and not to mention I went to lake hartwell and the water is super low. We went out to watch fireworks and I hit a unmarked sandbar doing 25 mph. Had to get the ACME fixed. So great fun!

i will second the 03 supra ssv...i just got mine for under 30k with 200 hours on it and i can't complain with the wake on my boat....given that it is the first boat i have owned but it gets the job done quite nicely whether it's weighted down or not...the wake has a good lip on it but that's how i like it...i'll try to get some pics for in the next few weekends if you would like

Why not find the original X-Star... 205V Hull.... and you don't need pics of the wake... it is one of the best wakes ever...

My 2000 Mobius V throws a nice meaty wake. Here is a pic of about 8 people in the boat no ballast at 22mph. (Message edited by bradenb12 on July 31, 2008)

I would say it would depend on what type/shape wake you are looking for. Damn Bryan, an 05 V215 for 30K sounds pretty darn good! I drove an 06 V215 last week and I was very surprised how well it drove and handled. (Not to mention the sweet wake).
