I ride the same part of the river and get to see J.B. throw down fairly often as he rides by. It's always a treat. One of these days my boat is going to make a cameo in one of these videos.

We might see you out there in the near future! We live in Austin as well.

Big Worm VS Crow 5...

Is the only difference the big worm doesn't include a handle pass or landing wrapped?

Nice riding as always. I noticed in this vid that when you spin heelside, you do a little pre-loading of the board. about 5 feet outside of the wake you seem to push the board into the water a little more it seems to bring your pop up more, at least it appears that way in the video. I never noticed you doing it before, is it something new? Do you get any benefit from it? I dont really recall ever seeing any body else do it. Adam E does something similar but more of an extra crouch at the wake.

It looks like he is pumping into the transition, similar to what you see in skating. Would be interesting to hear about the effects though.

Seems kind of like pre-loading. Something similar to the move at 0:23 ?

from CWB Board Co. on Vimeo.

iv been pumping like that since i started riding in 04, but i probably didnt know that it was visible from the boat till about two years ago when my friend called me out on it. i used to get embarrassed about it cause some of the people i ride with thought it was funny, but now i use it to my advantage. i used to skate alot around 02 and 03 and our local skatepark (the shred shed) had a small downward transition before every ramp, so im pretty sure thats where i got it from. its alot more noticeable when i ride behind a big wake vs when i used to ride behind my direct drive supra cause i dont have to charge as hard to get good pop. i basically use this pumping to speed up or slow down before i hit the wake so i dont case or land in the trough, but most of the time i use it when im coming in slow to get that extra pop to get me up and over the wakes.
