Has anybody ridden in both the 247 and the X-45. We have pretty much narrowed it down and will be demoing next week. My dad wants a boat that will ride well in choppy water and has good handeling. I want a boat for the wake.
Anything will be helpful.

Thanks
Chris

Someone should give you a link to a thread about 300 posts long on this very same topic shortly.

Is bow seating important?

Good point, Paul. Chris, you can search for these topics and previous discussions and find tons of stuff. You will find more info that way as people get semi-tired of the debate.

However, I did demo both boats and bought a new X-45. The demo will tell all. If you have any specific 45 questions, you can PM me or post them up on here. Good luck!

Chris, since you are new here might I direct you to the Search button in the top right of your screen. Few things have not been discussed (especially when it comes to Bu vs MC). Good luck & welcome to Wakeworld.

Red - you've got to be kidding me. Can you let any boat comparo go by without recommending a CC? Ever heard of onwership goggles? Which one did you recommend on the Tigé/Centurion thread? YAWN.

I told you,I don't own a boat right now. I will most likely buy the new '07 210 though depending on the ride and wake.

Anyone notice the lack of CC vs. _____ threads these days?? I remember when SAN was all you would hear on this site 3 years back or so. Now, 80% of the boat threads are BU v. MC. Most of the rest are Tige, Centurion, MB, Supra, etc. Just interesting IMO.

Because everyone knows Nautique is the best, no questions asked!

Its because nobody wants to buy a boat with a sandbox for seating and a jungle gym on top of it.

To the person who suggested the 236 its a foot shorthere then both of the models suggested. I would say that the 247 would be my choice when I drove a X45 it seemed like it was 40 ft long of course this model did not have hydraulic stearing so it might be better with the hydraulic stearing. I like the looks of the surf wake on the 247 with the hydraulic wedge and you may want to consider a supra launch 24 ssv it has a good surf and wakeboarding wake. You could proboally get a GGE for less then a 247 or a X45

YES!! Red, we all care!! Please tell us more!!

I'm interested in a Sanger and Supra, can you tell me what Nautique to buy? If only you could leave your boring life agenda at home and not share them....**sigh**

I think Chuck Norris owns a bass boat...

Big Heavy,
In that case I would buy the Sanger! Sangers are top notch and are family owned and have been around forever, so you know the board of directors isn't going start making fishing trollers next month or pull an Toyota and leave the market all together.

You won't buy crap until you get out of high school.

Red, you said it yourself "I will most likely buy the new '07 210 though depending on the ride and wake." In other words, you are recommending someone buy a boat that you might not even like. You know, depending on the ride and the wake....

Ya, otherwise I will buy an '06, either way I would buy a Correct Craft or a Sanger. The 236 appears to be a great boat. I would recommend a Correct Craft to anyone, you can't lose with a CC!

Funny, it may be annoying to have someone come on to these threads, and constantly suggest brand "Z", but I have never seen Red bash on another brand...

Hate on, you hating haters...

I was in the same spot about 8 months ago. I started the thread with the above link. Long story short, I chose the 247 and haven't regretted it once since. No knocks on the X45, but the 247 was better suited for my family and was more what I was after. Put 107 hrs on it this summer, excellent boat, no problems whatsoever. No regrets.

if you want a mastecraft that hadles well in chop take a look at the mc x 15 my father and i demoed one and we went to an area that had waves easily 3 feet tall and no water came close to coming over the bow and the ride was decently smooth as well also its a 22 foot boat i believe so it will handle nice

i agree about the CC seating, and tower. Its gross the changes that CC has made. This was the last really nice SAN after that things got shady. Thats why no one makes forums about CC anymore. Upload

another suggestion is the Tige 24Ve. It has a lot of room, has a great wake, especially if you put any weight in it at all, and handles chop really well. I've had it out on some really rough water at Lake of the Ozarks as well.
