Wut up fellas? Just after getting our boat last year (2009 Supra 21V Launch) we pulled up to some docks at a restaurant downtown and we ended up docking next to a Wakesetter with a tower all blinged out (lights and a bunch of speakers). My wife was like "how come we didnt get a boat like that"? I was like, ok . . . I can take care of that. So anyways right now I just have a pair of stock Kicker speakers up their but Im looking for something else to do. I love the look of the Supra Worlds Roswell Light bar combo but didn't wanna shell out $2400 for it. So lets see some pics of some good lookin towers!!!!

You can get 10X the sound out of the Wet Sounds cans, for half the price. The Roswell cans are way overpriced and you're limited to only a few speakers that work with them.

You could replace your stock speakers with some bullet 6.5 HLCD. They will blow away your stock kicker speakers. Here is a link http://www.bulletspeakers.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.f lypage&product_id=47&category_id=2&manufacturer_id =0&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=1 You will most likely need to upgrade your amp.

I think Im more into buying a solid unit rather than trying to piece something together. I guess more along the lines of this. I forgot where I found it but they were asking $900.

Since we are all plugging our favorite products in this thread. I will add that you should look at the new Exile XM7's and the Exile Harpoon amp. http://www.exileaudio.com/marine/ All three mentioned above will give you better performance and sound quality than the stock Roswell setup no matter what speaker you fit in those cans.

Bullets aren't my favorite brand. I just think the 6.5" direct replacement is a neat feature. NVS, Skylon, Wetsounds, Exile etc... are all amazing tower speakers. Can't go wrong with any of them

this thread is useless because Ima take all your upgrade money at the next poker night. But to play along, here is the setup you posted a pic of. http://www.h2osportswarehouse.com/product-p/bt-twbltspklite150-pa.htm Its $659 Shipped Keep in mind though that these are just 4 x 6.5" cans, not bigger like the wetsounds 80s 8" or the bulletspeakers 7.7" or NVS 10"

Hey man are you crackin' on my poker skills? Its called being a good host. Of course I have to buy-in 4 times and come in last place, thats how I get the suckers to come back for the bigger games, lol. I didnt know that the Pro 80's wouldnt fit. You think the Bullet 6.5's would? I don't know anything about audio guys, so I rely on you guys to feed me the info. Also I think I've only got a Kicker 2-channel amp running the tower speakers. So does that mean I need to replace the amp? And Im shootin' for a sub somewhere in the mix. Do I need anything for that?

@ chad. You kinda need to figure out what setup your going to go with before you look at amps. So if you get the setup you posted a pic of, the bullet 6.5" will fit, and you'll need either 2 2 channel amps or 1 4 channel amp, and a separate amp to feed the sub. All depends on how many speakers your ganna run on your tower.

Well the wife doesn't like the look of the pro 80 and the 485. She likes the look of the first pic I posted. I like the 4 speaker look.

Chad - Take the wife somewhere to listen to the difference between the WS (or any of the higherend speakers) compared to the Polks (1st pic) and she will quickly change her mind. I just replaced the Polks I had on the tower with WS Pro 60's. The difference is night and day. FYI - For the money, I thought Polk speakers were very good. However, there is a very big difference. Which should be expected because the WS (or any other highend brand) are expensive.

Agree ^^^^ Chad I have the Stock 4 speakers with the light bar on my 2006 24v and It might look good and you can hear the music but its not a good sound, you just barely year the music. I will either be replacing with wet sound or changing out my tower speaker with some 6.5 HLCD (probly the kicker system) after I get married this summer.

if you like the look of the four speaker set up look on e bay and find something you like without speakers.then order 4 bullet hlcd's to put in the cans.the cost to go this way should save you some money.I was able to get an intergrated light bar speaker can combo and load them with two hlcd's for $554.00 as seen above

I am not sure what it cost to have this setup. I bought the boat as a demo unit and got a crazy deal on it with all the stereo and bling included. David is the guy I usually talk to at Earmark Marine Audio in Lewisville, TX. Definitely give him a call and he could give you the specs on this type of setup. He also posts here a lot. Maybe he will chime in...

Is that everybody's idea of tower bling now? I know Wetsounds are premium in performance but they are so common now it is like the standard equipment for every wake boat. I'd like to see some of the custom tower box work that has been done, to me that makes a bigger statement than a threesome or double up. Not hating just wanting to see something different. Well, Wetsounds is by far the best tower speaker on the market. That's probably why everyone's going that direction.

Tom, why make statements like that? I don't doubt they are great speakers and that Tim runs Wetsounds with the highest level of customer service but statements like yours are just absurd. The best for one person might not be the best for another. Some people want speakers for different reasons. There is another good thread about the JL tower speakers in Mastercrafts. I for one don't know if I would buy Wetsounds because of how ear piercing they are. I really don't care about hearing the stereo while I ride. I would rather have tower speakers that sounds great in the boat. Some HLCD's sound better than others in the boat and at close range. I kind of agree with Darren as well. His speaker box and Grant's are probably 2 of the more unique and great looking tower speaker enclosures I have seen.

Miss the emphasis on cosmetics and individuality, particularly on the tower. Today it is more about HLCDs which is all good. Here's a couple of promo boats. Supra 24 Heavy Metal Supra 24 SSV In Red and Black Goes Custom Murdered Out Supra Supra 24 with Audio, Billet Aluminum and Lighting

I made that statement because that's what I believe. I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars on stereo stuff over the years, so it's not like I'm being arbitrary. Feel free to have your own opinions. It's not going to offend me. However, just because you believe A and I believe B, that doesn't mean I'm going to equivocate. Have a nice day!

David, If you don't mind my asking, how much does something like the examples you've posted usually cost the boat owner. Obviously, there is a huge price difference for what is done and the complexity of the project....I'm just kinda curious what some of these cats are dropping on these incredible mods???? btw: incredible work!
