I am getting ready to install the amps and audio stuff in my 247 and I am always hesitant to put holes in things.... I'm afraid I will pop out the other side and damage something of make a hole where there shouldn't be one.

Can anyone tell me if it is safe to screw amps into the right side/bottom/back side of the storage compartment(behind observer) ? I know the left side is VERY risky, so i will stay away from that.

Any help will be much appreciated!

Hey Fest - maybe you know?!?

I had a 2001 Malibu. A lot of the interior was assembled with wood (or maybe a synthetic) but anyway, I was able to screw amps in the observer side storage area, and at the drivers left knee.

Not sure if they are still like that. As long as you don't drill into fiberglass you should be okay....I think..

Just build an amp rack. Do a search, it's very easy and can help clena up the install.

any other type of screwing gets done on the sundeck

there is a good little good little quarry behind the island that we usually like to go and do that. Gotta watch for other boaters though.
