Hey guys.. Just thought i would post up a few photos from our little adventure this past Saturday... we had to kick Spring off with some fun. We started on the Washington coast with some surfing, then on to Lake Sammamish where i dropped the 'Bu in for the first time this year, then off to the mountains for a little night skiing. So boating season has officially started for us. Lake Sammamish was cold but i expected it to be worse. Water was between 44-47 and the air was 54-56ish.
The black board is the last year of the Hyperlite Byerly before they started his own line isn't it? It looks like one of the hear no, speak no, see no evil themed boards. Like this http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard7.asp?ProductID=3071 The surf to summit idea is very cool, looks like a blast and that is a nice 'Bu.
Hey Tyler... I hadn't seen the Northwest Riders event last year... great idea to add a few more events to our adventure. Do you know if they are doing it again this year?
I'm not sure. I'm in Colorado now, so I'm a bit out of the loop these days.
If they do, I'm sure that they will post info on it northwestriders.com or wakeboardnorthwest.com (and I would imagine that they would try to do it relatively soon).
We put together a short video of the day... it's a good waste of 6 minutes of your day. Don't expect any epic boarding... kind of boring really.. but if you need to waste 6 minutes of your life then here ya go...
Most of us went out in full wetsuits... one guy went in a shorty (crazy) and a few guys has some 1970's drysuits they picked up on craigs list. The water wasn't as bad as you would think. Cold, yes, but a full wetsuit and gloves worked great.
