I was out today riding and for some reason I slowed the boat down to right before the wake rolled over at like 21.5 to 22. I was getting more pop and had much more time for my spins. Any ideas what would cause it or was it just a fluke day.

was it just your timing?

mike, 23 to 24, J-rod might of been the timing. It was very strange I knew where I was threw the whole 360 and saw everything also. Plus I had a huge amount or slack in the line. Something I have never felt in riding. Also seemed like I could grab and tweak stuff longer. I am going to try it again and see.

wake probably grew in size and width a little and probably helped your timing. If it feels good I would leave it there, it seems people these days are falling into the huge weight, high speed trend that the pros are setting... medium weight and 22 is fine by me

if you slow down so right where you're hitting the wake is right before it's breaking, that's the steepest part of the wake, and has the sharpest lip.

I noticed that the first time I went from 75 to 80 feet, because I didn't up the speed at all.

Squid - you could go 5 feet longer and ride your normal speed and get the same effect. Give that a shot.
