I saw on the Masters website that Philip Soven won this weekend, but was wondering why I didn't see Parks on the invite list and what happened to Danny Harf and Chad Sharpe because they were riding strong so far this year?

Not as strong as Adkison, Soven, Hansen, and Webb.
Adkison and Soven are the riders to beat.

Parks is recovering from an injury.

As an aside, I heard Shaun Murray say on the streaming webcast that once his injuries heal this year, he thinks he will be back on the tour in '06. Good to hear!

Parks was not invited because of his actions off the water last year. He has been bared from the Master's indefinatly. Sharp and Harf were caught DUI on Friday night and asked to leave the area, as was Parks who came down to hang out.

That's what I had heard, but just wanted to make sure. Heard that Sharpe and Harf were just riding around on their 50cc dirtbikes. I know everyone will have their own opinion, but I don't know if the Masters is the competition most suited to the wakeboarding environment if they are going to ban Parks, Danny, and Chad from competing.

See http://www.prowakeboardtour.com/article.jsp?ID=37008 regarding Parks' knee injury.

They are professionals, they need to act like it. You will see more of that at other competitions.

what exactly did parks do last year on the water? I can't remember...I know he's caused some hijinks in previous years, like going off of the jump ramp without a helmet. (gasp!)

The ramp stunt is the only thing I can think of. But that wasn't last year was it?

ROCK STARS BABY!!!!!!! HAHAHAH That is the best thing I have heard all day. Who cares about the master, it's a bunch of skiiers holding on to a dying sport. ....for that matter...who really cares about competion?

Soven cares. And now he has even more confidence going into Reno.

He is going to win everything this year....he is World Publications poster boy. That and he weighs like 6 pounds.

If you notice the people who dish competitions are usually the ones who tried but never could compete. Leave it alone, those who want to compete, let them, those who can't let them look good on the lake and drink beer. Don't hate the people who enjoy competition and who are actually good at it.

Compete is relative....lack of talent is another.

Soven is now working out and has gained 50# from last year. He has a man body now.
