No, there aren't many in New England... and even then maybe 20% go to the boat show? And of those, how many are still checking wakeworld? I went last year, not too impressed. I won't be making the trip this year.

Iwent last year to get some bindings and no one brought any gear. I'm not in the market for a boat...probably won't be there. Any of you guys who haven't joined yet, there is a New England Wakeboard/ Wakeskate page on facebook with about 15 of us on it. Check it out.

I would have gone to the CT show, but I'm really not in the market and it's kinda hard to walk around with ankle to hip knee brace (wakeboard induced surgery).

I'm definately looking forward to the summer right now is anyone interested in setting up a WW gathering?

Me & my crew are going for sure. Every year, mostly (loosely) associated with the Correct Craft booth. But we go, we peruse. We somehow managed to find trouble along the way last year with a major manufacturer badmouthing another major manufacturer unnecessarily but we won't be going to, or covering, THAT manufacturer this year.

People interested in doing a meetup I would love to have one in Connecticut, preferably on Candlewood (biggest? Not quite in the middle but for its size you can find some good spots). Right near NY too if anyone is interested. Shoot me an e-mail if you are.

Dan, where is it closest to in NY?
Old     (hco)      Join Date: Jun 2006       01-28-2009, 6:05 PM Reply
It is really close to Brewster, less than 20 minutes away. You just follow 84 into ct then take 7 north hop off exit 11. Candlewood touches at least 5 towns but most of the big marinas are in Brookfield.

I'm from just outside Boston. I'll probably make an appearance.

We are working on another event for Candlewood this year, Last year's Fix A Kid raised a lot of good money. www.fixakid.net I'll keep WW informed, maybe all could come and support. See Orlando Wake's web site for info from this summer's past event. www.orlandowake.com

I'd be down for a gathering in the Brookfield area. How is Candlewood on the weekends? I've also heard Lillnonah is good for riding.

Wait where's it at?

Candlewood on the weekends is an absolute joke unless you are partying, which doesnt happen anyways. If you are on the water before 10 am it isnt too bad, but the way candlewood is glass does not happen too often. Lillinonah isnt bad, on the weekends, and you can usually find glass. I personally almost never ride on candlewood, and prefer a DD that is sac'd out over a nice boat on Candlewood just for water conditions.

Kyle- from my post above: You just follow 84 into ct then take 7 north hop off exit 11. Candlewood touches at least 5 towns but most of the big marinas are in Brookfield.

Lillinonah is only about 7-10 minutes from Candlewood.

When it gets a little warmer out we should start a thread for this. Lillinonah in late May or June? Doesn't have to be anything formal just a date and location to meet up with some fellow WWs.

don,

I never made it down. Schools trips are taking up my weekends. How is Ryan? Tell him to give me a call when he's free.
