Guys and Gals,
I thought that I would shoot this out to you local boys. Over here at Midwest MC we are looking for some staff, both full and part time positions.
You can get all of the information over here http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/22/567371.html?1207931993
But if you know anyone for any of the positions tell them to shoot me an email or andy as well.

Pete rocks! I've done that off the wake on my kneeboard, but off of a ramp is sick!

Jay, any info on when he's putting a video on YouTube. Pete promised me something several weeks ago, but I haven't seen a thing.

hey just wanted to give everybody a heads-up:

I'm broadening my coaching base in Minnesota this year.

Partnered with Tyler Smith, we're making The Academy Wakeboard School official.

Just a bit about me:

I've been coaching wakeboarding for 10 years,
(riding for 13. wow...that's strange to write.)

Within that 10 years of coaching, my most valuable experience came from my 3 years as a coach at The Wakeboard Camp in Clermont, Florida. There I was part of a coaching team that included Kyle Schmidt, Ben Greenwood, Aaron Reed, and Kurt Robertson among others.

While i was there i learned a lot of great coaching techniques and still coach under the basic principle that learning strong fundamental skills will allow you progress your riding to a more advanced and controlled level, faster, with less pain in the process.

If you're familiar with "The Book" instructional dvd series, than you'll be familiar with my coaching style.

I followed up my experience in Florida by going international where I coached european and middle-eastern students throughout Turkey.

I'm confident in saying that no one else in Minnesota has as much professional coaching experience as i do. I have coached every skill level--from beginner all the way up to some top pros. I WILL make you a better rider...

Also: Look forward to information about guest coaches Keith Lidberg in June and Ben Greenwood in August!

You guys are gonna kill it this year, but whats up with not asking me to guest coach? Are you trying to say that slob 180's don't pay the bills?

If anyone is looking to buy a lakehome in the cities hit me up, I have a home for sale on Prior Lake. For a metro lake home it's fairly resonable but thats all relative. If you want more details e-mail me.

Here is some updates on lakes from my drive yesterday and today. Turtle Lake in Shoreview was mostly ice covered as of yesterday. The lake just South of Hwy 96 in Shoreview was partially ice covered as of yesterday. Keller Lake (very shallow) in St. Paul was mostly ice covered as of today. The lake just east of 694 in Mahtomedi by Fleet Farm is about fully ice covered as of today. Ice everywhere is getting very dark colored though. I think we are a day or two away on many lakes.

Anderson Lake in Bloomington is open but there isnt a damn boat launch that I know of and its sooo dumb cause its a decent size lake. Does anyone know if there is a way to get on that lake? Its the lake you go over on 169 just south of 494. Bush Lake is also right there but they only allow up to 6hp motors on that lake...such a waste!
Old     (wakemikey)      Join Date: Mar 2008       04-17-2008, 3:25 PM Reply
Hey guys Island Lake in Shoreview is 100% icefree!!! Snail lake (somewhat shallow but I see inboards there all the time) still has a little film of ice but should be gone in a couple days. I stare at them both during my lunch break!

The river level on the Mississippi Rec Pool (above Coon Rapids Dam) will begin raising week of May 5th! Just in time for my new boat!

Duders and duderets...the rivers are where it's at (at least for the past 3 weeks). i've already got 5 sets in this season (4 different days). just drove by Bryant Lake in Eden Prarie tonight...might be clear by tomorrow afternoon. the mississippi was at about 50 degrees yesterday.

Jay, im just scared of all the debris and crap. I was going south on 694 yesterday, went over the wakota bridge and saw a bunch of logs...how do you manage all that stuff...have to keep your eyes peeled all the time huh? And besides...river water is gross haha!
Old     (ironj32)      Join Date: Jan 2007       04-17-2008, 5:26 PM Reply
yes it's gross....i've seen worse (had on my beer goggles though...snuck outta the room before she woke up!!!). the debris - it's actually not that bad on the mississippi at boom island, but yeah you gotta be lookin' for junk.

You can see Bryant Lake from 494 right by the Valley View exit in EP. Ive been on it twice but it was like 5 years ago.
Old     (tuneman)      Join Date: Mar 2002       04-18-2008, 2:04 PM Reply
Look up Bryant lake on the DNR website and you can get info about it. There's a small shallow spot, sometimes an island, on the eastern side. If you just ride down the middle, you'll have no problems. It's a nice lake for riding.

To get there from 494, exit on 62 east(crosstown) and take the Shady Oak Road exit. Go south(right) to the park entrance about a mile down the road just before a big bend to the left (look for the park sign).

i just drove by bryant tonight...it might not be clear till sunday. but yeah...when on that lake you need to drive up and down the middle in straight lines, and the do your turns/d-ups in the bays on each end. who knows...maybe it'll be mostly open by noon tomorrow, hard to tell with these 40/50 deg temps!?!?

Ha! great pics chad! That was a good day, cold as all hell though. Shoulda came out today, it was wonderful, John came out too. We actually put some weight on the boat and the wake was sick. Being it was 70, and we couldnt see our breaths, it was a good day out. Anyhow, you're more than welcome out on my boat since you are boatless, season is just starting. Give me a call whenever man!

BTW, you decided on where you're going to dinner yet?!

Sick eder, I will remember that :-)

I got my tower project finished off and I am 50% on the stereo and I got the 12v rear mount outlet for sacks almost done too. I Hope to have it all finished off tomorrow. I am planning on going to owasso on thursday-sunday pending weather on those days. Got my new gear from the house last week (board for the wife, surfer for me, 2 side sacks for the boat) and I am rearing to go, even though the hand surgeon told me wait till it is warmer. What does he know anyway lol

Serious question here regarding summer competitions. We are in the planning stages and I am wondering what you would rather compete in/see.

In a nut shell we would like to do a comp that is more of a jam session format, obviously judging would be more difficult than a 5 trick per pass set up. What do you all think?

Hey Minnesotans!

Im looking for some advice here. I am selling my boat. I found a buyer and we have agreed on the price. He is located in Michigan and im in MN. What would be the best way to go about conducting this sale. I do not have the title. The bank that i have the loan thru has the title. The way im thinking to do this is to meet at the bank where i have the loan. He will pay his amount and i will pay the difference. He will then take the boat and i will have the title sent to me and then sign off on it and send it back to him.

If this is a good way to do it if it is not someone let me so i can make this deal work

Thanks Minnesotans!

Hey everybody. I'm a little late jumping into the Minnesota thread. My name is Tim Dunklee and I'm typically riding on either Lake Owasso or Bald Eagle with NickInTheTC. I'm sure I've seen a bunch of you out there. I haven't got out this year yet but I'm looking forward to it soon after this crap weather blows over.
Eder/Tuneman: Do you mind if I use the picture of Eder upside down for the frontpage of my website? (www.rideminnesota.com) I just want to write a quick little thing about early season riding.

I already have a spot for people to submit events and soon I will allow people to submit blog articles also. Yea I think we are friends on Facebook, we have to get out riding together sometime. Yea I finished up at Century too and now work the daily grind in a finance office to pay for my boarding habits....
