Unoficial Wakeworld Vegas Get Together 02-27/02-28

I thought I'd throw up a post to let anyone who's interested in on our Vegas boarding/Gambling trip.

So far we have nine guys and two boats. We plan on riding on Lake Mead both days.

Cliff are ya all raod trippen with your boats that weekend?????

We're flying down, and meeting up with our Buddy Scott. He moved to Vegas recently, and works at the MGM now.

Scott has a boat, and Steve AZ and his buddy Chris are driving up from Az with his boat. Scott is going to talk to the Tige dealer down there to see if he's interested in meeting us at the lake as well.

OK I will keep ya posted I'm gonna try to make it with ya all, will see how the work load is.

I'll find out about a discount at the MGM if not it would be cheaper to stay out by me at one of the Station Casinos, and more convienent.

I'm still recovering from my trip 2 weeks ago out there. I was sick for a week when I got back, so I am probably out for that trip. Something about thinking I am still 21 and trying to pull all nighters just doesn't work anymore. Oh yeah, I'll be in Maui at that same time anyways. Sounds like fun! The Station Casinos are cool. I like the one out in Henderson.

Hmmmmmm...this sounds very tempting. If I towed the boat, would there be a safe place to park it? If not, would someone have room for one or two more?

hey westcoasters im down for coming if someone has room for 2 ill fly myself and my girlfriend there for the occasion. I would bring my boat but the haul from texass would be a beeotch so if someones got room and can stop by the airport let me know

Christie theres plenty of room at my apartment complex, lived here 3 months no issues with the boat.

Do you guys think you will be above the 100 degree combined rule?

from what I've been told, the water/air temps are about equal by early March.

Up here in Seattle we have to go with the 80 degree rule, if we want to ride in the winter. I see Christie's group is in the same predicament as far as inclement weather riding. Unless it's pouring down rain or white caps, we're riding .

I talked to Steve Jenkins yesterday. He mentioned Chris and Leslie. Maybe you could get them to come as well.

I'm going to come if forecast for air is 70 or better. Sometimes End of Feb early Mar reach into the 80's. Water will probabaly be low 50's.

Anyone in So CA that wants to go and can contribute to truck and boat gas, drop me a line. I can Camp or hotel. I have complete camping gear and would rather camp but will go with the flow.

There's little doubt you'd be over the 100 degree rule. I live about 75 miles away from lake Mead. keeep in touch, I'd be willing to come down to board. The water temp will likely be 50's or better. Air temp today is going to be 60 degrees. If you dress right, it's very comfy. Send me a reminder as it gets closer and I'll see if i can come (with my Tige 21V).

The only problem I see on my end is I am going to be in Vegas the weekend before for a wedding. It would be a quick turn around, wish I could stay the week. But let me talk to my crew and see if I can ralley them up. I am sure I will have room for a couple people when I get there. I can probably get 2 or 3 people to go.

For anyone interested in this trip, we will be staying off the strip in Henderson at Sunset Station Casino. The hotel is very nice, with very reasonable rates, and is located mid point from the lake and the strip.

For those who want to bring their boats, Scott has a large secured area that will accomidate as many spaces as needed at his condo about a mile away from the hotel.

sorry, havn't checked the post in a while. Yeah I'm down to carpool if that's what you ment. I'm from Vegas so I have a lot of friends that I will be able to stay with. I'll probably bring my girl to. Let me know.

I am bummed, can't make it "this time" daughters birthday is on March 1st, and the party is that Saturday. But I will make it for the next one for sure!!

id be down to rent a car and pay for what ever im just down to go to vegas period for gambling or boarding. im able to fly wherever whenever. My mom works for american airlines so i have the benefit. if youd like to work something out let me know.

my girlfriend and i will be coming out for this shinding (from l.a.), and thinking of flying, tho we may just drive out. if we do fly, we will also need a way to get out to the lake from vegas. perhaps we could all go in on a car.

Flight and hotel reservations are set…. Brad and I will be flying in on Thursday night.

Scotty D… make sure you order up some butta and warm weather for us. It will sure be nice to ride with out needing gloves for a change!

Everything is set for me as well. I'm driving out Friday morning with the boat and plan on leaving Monday morning.

I stayed at Henderson Station and they were good at watching my boat for me. And you can park and see it easy.

I might be down to go and meet up, but I would definitely need to mooch a ride.

Were are you guys launching at. I will be there for the weekend, and it sounds like fun.

Weather has been a little cold this week, but so is everywhere else. Water temp is 50', water level is low, but it's a big lake.

I'm about %85 likely to be there, but I'll want to launch from Overton OR Echo bay marinas (on the North). I'll be there on Saturday only.

I wanna go but I need a crew to help with gas $ for boat and van!!!! Anyone in So. CA that wants me to drive and bring bring my boat for them to glory hog behind (2002 V210, ballast, Perfect Pass) shoot me an email.
