We are all OBVIOUSLY hardcore diehard boating fanatics, but lets see some other hobbies/toys/etc. I figure we all share at LEAST one interest, so why not share others! Sorry if this is considered by some to be in the wrong discussion category, but I'm a "newb" and noticed the others don't move much. (So you can't yell at me, haha) I'll start:

My 57 Chevy, and my 81 Camaro I just dug out of the dirt after leaving for the Air Force 10 years ago! I'm a gear-head/grease monkey true and true...

First I was like, that's not a 993. Then I see the silver one in the second picture.

What trim level is that one? I always wanted a 993, but it looks like I missed the low point in resale. They are starting to go back up quick.

i like this thread

my dad's boat. I was two when he had this custom built.

Built this thing a few years back. A buddy and I did all of the work ourselves in his tiny two car garage. When i cut this thing apart i barely knew how to change the oil. I just finished parting it out to get the last little bit of money i needed for my wife and i to get a boat. Not to big of a deal, wife loves boats and hated the truck. Made that decision easy

Other Hobbies. Guns/Hunting and Hot Rods.

Building a Rat Rod right now. 1930 Ford Model A. Here is how it sits now. Should have it done in the next 3 or 4 months. Trying to finish it so it can tow our new Wet Sounds Rat Rod theme demo boat around to shows.

This is my 993 turbo. I built this car several years ago, it started off life as a Carrera. Lots and lots of little details, here are the important bits:

Custom Garrett GT40 single turbo setup with a giant intercooler
AEM standalone ECU
Coil-on-plug (distributor-less) CDI driven ignition system
Big brakes
H&R suspension bits
SSR GT3 wheels
295 wide rear tires (car is rear wheel drive)
Only 2900lbs
Etc…
It’s a beast on the track.

Jesse,

I see you're at LR...so am I. Are you with the 19th, 314th or 189th? If everything stays on track I'm headed to Greers Ferry to ride this weekend. Where do you normally ride?

Greg

Hey Greg, I'm in the 19th what about you? That's awesome you are already getting to go out! 90% of the time we go to Greers Ferry...I keep the boat stored a mile from the lake so it helps keep it real convenient. We don't even take the boards off the racks, put the bimini down, or drop the tower. We also love the camping up there. Have you been on the river yet? It's actually not bad to get some sets in especially w/almost always guaranteed glass Otherwise if we're really looking for a party we occasionally head down to Lake Hamilton...it's small and you'll only get to ride in the a.m. but it gets fun later in the afternoon at a few party spots. They have good prices on condo's w/slips so it's awesome to get away for a weekend or so down there. Lake Ouachita is beautiful but a bit of a commitment on the drive so it's hard to get there very often. Where do you primarily ride? I'm in sandland right now...but when I get back we'll definitely have to meet up!

-Sorry for the quality of the gator pics. He was almost thirteen feet long and yes, I did wrestle him a bit. I won due to modern weapons.

I also am an avid snow skier. I love the whole mountain (park, pipe, steep cruisers, glades, chutes but my favorite is powder and trees. When combined, d**m that is a good day. Here ares ome pics at Keystone from this year. The conditions were awful in all of summit county, Co when I was there in early february. These were taken at the summit of the north bowl. You have to hike, but you get like 500 vert of fresh, then another 2k of trees, bumps, and glades. Good stashes back there!

I also love my trampoline, my Ibanez, and marine life
