just had the boat year servicing, tune up, filters, allignment, oil changes, pack shaft seal, check everything $480 .... new steering cable we installed ourselves $179 .... got a killer killer deal on a couple new speakers and took off all old speakers and redo wiring, remounted cd player, had a troublesome water leak at the end of the year and it seems my shower was always on when we were running!!!!! i guess the dashboard switch is only for when your stopped .... between that and the shaft seal my boat should be dry and with all the maintenance we are ready for the year .... so sunday will be day 1 2010 and actually getting jazzed!! the flow rider being shut down has forced our hand, dont want to make the drive to snowbaord so we will do a little duck hunting, chase some coots, and then jump in the water and surf!!

so when do you all start up?

The Lake out back has 16" of ice on it right now but where the boat is kept has less ice. I'm thinking I won't get back to it 'till the end of June.

I feel for you Art, we don't exactly get an early start on the surf year up north do we?

I see you're at Shuswap. Get yourself a wet/dry suit! We start up on the Okanagan in April... and freeze our balls off.

But it's a start.

Yeah, I guess I could start earlier but I usually pack up from Calgary and spend the summer out there so it's hard to get the time earlier.
My kids are too involved in Hockey and Soccer to get them the time off too.

As soon as the ice is off. Usually the end of April or early May. I have skied around the outside edge before.

We have to wear a wet suit for a couple weeks when the lake starts to feel like summer water temperatures in WA :-)
Love Florida winters.
