We've got a big crew going up to Bullard's Bar this weekend, and one of my buddies has a waterproof camcorder. I was thinking it would be awesome to get video from a tube's perspective.

we've tried this with a seadoo platform style tube before, but the tube would find its way to the trough of one wake, flattening the wake behind it.

My question is, how do you keep that tube in the middle of the wake? Driving straight all day isn't an option.

I was thinking; what if i had another rope attached to the tube, and pull it up the wake?

There's nothing you can do, sorry bro. I've been trying, and if the boat turns too sharply, that's what happens. The turns need to be mellow and stuff. Even though it's too late, sorry.

Having spent a bit of time in the tube I'd say slow down. The only way to stay inside the wake when turning is to tell the driver to slow down when changing the line. Make sure that the driver is experienced and is paying attention while you're in the tube. Being outside the wake in front of the rider is a good perspective as well. If you find yourself on one side or the other, tell the rider to just hit the opposite side of the wake. Also lengthen your rope to get behind the rider once and awhile. Shots from behind are always cool. You just have to figure out how to get beyond the spray off the board.

Have fun!

If the tube gets pulled outside the wake, have the rider lower his rope and he can pull you back in.

great, i didn't even think about using the rope thats already out there. We'll be giving it a shot as soon as i can get out of this damn town.

Terrible waiting on the yukon to get the air conditioning compressor fixed before we get our wheels rolling to bullard's bar.

Just have the person wakeboarding lean down with the rope and have the person riding on the tube grab the rope and just pull them to the inside of the wakes

have person on tube drag his feet when you start to turn.
