I plan on doing an oil change tomorow and there is no dealer near my house so i need to get a filter from an auto parts store. I have an advance autoparts near by. Are the filters the same for any chevy 350 5.7L? Anyone know the part number from advance discount autoparts?

Fram PH5 (long) or PH30 (short) should work.

If you go with the Fram, get the high flow one. I forget what they call it but it's Tough Guard or Super Guard or something like that. It'll have the flow statistics on the box. If not, your filter is going to spend most of its time in bypass mode instead of actually filtering anything.
