This is my first year with my new inboard. I was thinking about winterizing the boat myself but am not sure of everything that is included. Can someone please provide a suggested web site that might detail this information of provide a detail step by step detail of everything involvd.

For reference, I have a Supra 22V with the 340HP Inmar. The boat also has a heater.

Any help would be appreciated.

http://www.epicmarine.com/docs/Epic%20Winterizing%20Procedure.pdf

Here's one I developed for my Toyota Epic DD. It's not exactly like your V drive, but the steps are similar. The procedure shows the "dry block" method, you could also choose to fill the cooling system with antifreeze, including the heater system. To winterize the heater, remove the two hoses at the engine and blow compressed air into one of them to push the water out of the heater core. Hope this helps.

Evil Chris

But it's not so fun when the birds are dropping out of the sky in the summer heat.

I would even take your lows, that would be better than we will see up here. But I have to agree, I hate the heat as much as some hate the cold.

That's my point FIGS, we don't need to store, we can ride all year round!

I read that PDF and it didn't include anything about adding RV anti-freeze into the cooling system. It just said to drain everything. It this PDF for places that don't get below freezing?

Also, don't forget your shower, drain that sucker and fill with anti-freeze. I forgot one year, had to replace the hose and filter.
