Hello guys, I am looking at a 1986 Ski Nautique 2001. The boat has 1280 Hours. Is this a lot of hours? And what's the life on a motor with good maintenance?

Thanks

That is a lot for sure, you don't see too many boats out there that have over 1200 hours, not to say there aren't any that are in good condition, but you just don't see them too often.

For an 1986, that's not alot of hours, but hour gauges can be replaced. If you get serious about the boat, have a trusted mechanic look at in, and also give it a spin. I had one boat a couple years ago that we put 800 hours on in one summer, but that was pulling kids every single day. We were doing oil changes once a week.

That's less than 65 Hours per year. For a 1986 boat I would say that is a pretty low hour count. We put on about 300 per year.

I have more hours than that on my 1987 and we routinely pull in newer boats that are broken down. If you take care of your stuff it will last, if you don't, it will break.

Yep this is me. I remember many competitions in that area. I moved out to Denver a few weeks ago. I'm missing Bel Marin Keys right now and the riding year-round. The kids next door aren't kids anymore (Aaron Aubrey and Brady Sammons). They are just killing it. Everyone is pro now.
