Upgrading from my current 05 21v in selling. I'd like to keep it in the 50k range. I may be into a newer supra but the wake is a bit finicky and I want a better surf wake. Any suggestions.

New or used? Pretty wide open question.

I will be looking at boats around February and I am trying to decide between an A22, Mojo, and LSV. I will probably decide by sitting in them at the boat show.

This could become an interesting thread. I have a '07 Tige 22Ve and the surf wake is great. I have ridden my buddies '06 SANTE and I don't think the surf wake is close to the Tige. The SANTE wakeboard wake is great. I have also surfed behind a '07 Tige RZ2, very similar to mine. Those are the only three that I have actually been behind.

There are a lot of great boats out there, I would try to demo any boats that you are considering and ride behind them how you plan to use them to see how it is for you. I would also take into consideration your local dealer support.

As far as new or used goes I am open to either. I have seen some newer VLX's in my price range and new axis is in my wheelhouse. Seems like SAN's and MC are most expensive. I really want a kicking wake.

MB boats seem pretty popular on Wakeworld. From what I see, good bang for the buck. I've only seen one locally (mid 2000's model), as they aren't marketed everywhere. If they are in your area I'd say it is well worth a look.

If you up your budget 10k... Chattwakes Axis Vandall looks SICK and according to his description is setup legit.

Disclaimer: I don't know chat and have never been behind his boat, but if I had the budget to do so, I would own his, it's nice.

I have an X15 I'll sell you. The wake is great. The surf wave is pretty good also (both sides). Plus, I'm only about 4 hours from you.

Any links on your X-15? hows the MB widebody wakeboard wake? What is it comparable too?

That looks like a nice wake. Whats the difference between the widebody and tomcat? they both seem priced the same

Picklefork vs standard bow. THe boats are almost identical besides the bow layout.

I'm selling my 2008 X-star for around your price range (asking 59k)... It's loaded out with options, and is under a transferable warranty until May 19, 2014.

Indmar is re-manufacturing the engine within the next week or two, so the engine will be like new with all new components.

It's not a new boat, but its in like-new condition with a warranty!

Sweet looking ride. How many hours, and what happened to the engine?

It has around 225 hours. The engine was using abnormal amounts of oil

Here are some Supra wake pictures for comparison. This is my 08 22ssv nothing on this model has changed to the hull since 08.
The first pick is stock ballast + 200 nose at 23.
400 rear compartments.
1180 center locker
200 nose
Plate is 100% down so there is not much lip.

Second pick is after my upgraded sacks. Same speed
750 rear 3/4 full
1180 center
300 nose.
Plate is down 75%

Lots of options at $50K and an A22 should definitely be on your "to drive and ride behind" list.

This is our wake on our 2011 twb 23 (same hull as 2013). No ballast, 21.3, 95lb 13 y/o kid yesterday.

I am hoping to get Craig at TXMC to let me test a 23 twb with some additional weight in it. They keep selling them so fast not sure its going to happen. If it does I will post up some pictures of that as well. Maybe runin90lx can slam his once he gets it broken in?

Just get an MB. best boat in your price range, everyone seems happy with them.

The MB's throw an awesome wakeboard wake. How much will you be surfing? Maybe it has changed but the swim platform being so high out of the water on the surf wave made me nervous for some reason. I kept feeling like if I went too far forward that the board would get stuck underneath of it and be slightly more dangerous than other boats. Wish I had a picture for reference. Definitely ride and drive all of the boats you can, you honestly can't drive or ride behind enough of them.

We surf a fair amount. I am not really into surfing but it seams like something everyone else wants to do so it ends up happening during the day when its rough. I am in michigan and I hear re-sale on MB's is pretty poor out here. The vinyl of the A22 scares me a bit but if i upped my price range i could get into a 2013 which i hear has better viny.

don't listen to anybody that says "just go buy _______", go demo everything in your price range, bring a trusted friend, bring whatever sacks you need to mimic what you plan on doing. I am learning that some dealers have no clue how to properly weight the very boats they are selling, so come on here or go to the forums (mc team talk, malibucrew, axis forum...etc) and get some advice on how they weight their boats before you demo. All the boats mentioned are great, but there are huge differences in drivability, interior/tower function, wakes and waves of all the boats, only you will know what you like and dislike.

Mark...what are you wanting pics of weighted? Wakeboard or surf wake? I'm hoping to be out in it this weekend if everything goes well

I have had both A22 and now an MB 21TC and the wakes are both equally good, different but both good. If you want a quality boat for your money (interior, overall construction, tricked out trailer) MB is far ahead of the A22. IMO....

bill PM sent. I am wanting to see the wakeboard wake sacked out. I have seen the surf wave from some of the guys on mbowners. Most of the pics I have seen of the wakeboard wake was an added 400 in the nose would like to see someone that had a bow triangle and some rear sacs in addition to the hard tanks.

I would wait and see the impressions of the new Supra SA350 before you make a decision.... Probably going to up your budget, but I have been hearing good things from the surf and wakeboard camp.... I am anxious to try it out myself and

@ the OP Rob, you now have 2 MB dealers in MI, they are both selling boats, the brand is getting out there and I am sure the new owners will love their boats and boom, a guy in Lousiana just bought 2012 slightly used for 54 and I know of several other used 12's that sold for 50+ so as the brand gets more exposer in the east the resale market for MB will only get better

Said he wants to spend $50k so you recommend an $80k rig? Only on Wakeworld.

I was just stating what the OP said in his post..... I will add it on here with quotes for you to review.... Was just making a statement based on what he said.... I don't care what he gets, but he mentioned he would like to look at a newer supra except for his wake was finicky..... All reports have stated the SA is not finicky side to side, so I was suggesting he looks at it.... Sorry to offend you.

I read into what you're saying man.. I love the SA as well and all of the wake reviews are that it is money.. It's still a 75% jump in price point - that was my only comment. I doubt when he said "newer supra" he was talking about brand new SA. - if only for the price argument..
