Jeff Weatherall has BS7's down wake to wake and has been trying 9's off the dub. Pretty sure he is taking the winter off to snow board tho.

Mitch blew his knee last weekend.

I talked to Weatherall last weekend. He was in Tahoe and was thinking about moving there for the winter to ride. He said he was going back to O-town to finish up a little before then.

There haven't been many TSBS 7s landed.

I've only heard of Shane landing the TS BS 7 so far. But if I had to pick someone to land a HS BS 9, I would put money on Brian Hutton or Tino. Then again, you can't ever forget about the spin master Colin Wright.

yeah toe back 9 is a long way away

yeah. I think thers only been 3 TSBS 7's that i know of...Shane's first one @ Brostock, Danny's Nose Grabbed One, and Shanes at Parks Double or Nothing. That'd just be rediculous to see somebody pull one of those off...i cant imagine how hard thats gotta be...

Corey Bradley, Henny, T Hansen
Old    110outlet            11-21-2007, 11:17 AM Reply
Arron Rathy stomps them clean, but so does Henshaw, but ive only heard of Corey Bradley attempting the BS9. It will be double up for sure, watching guys do them wake 2 wake can be pretty scary when they fall. Saw Rathy fall on one in comp and then get up and nail it right away. I actually noticed that this year at wakestock in Toronto that this was the first time i had seen BS 7s in runs, and not just one guy i believe there was 3 or 4. Usually you just see Henshaw do it off the double up. So it was nice to see some progression in contest tricks.

Didn't Soven win the PWT with a BS 7 off the DU too?

yeah, yall are absolutely hilarios... also i think that lariche good do a blind 9 cause hes really consistent on his w2w blind 7s and BS7s off tha double up. anything u can do off the wake, u can add at least a 180 to it off a double up...

so many people can do w2w bs 7's i dont see why someone hasnt landed a nine yet!

danny did a corked toeside nosegrabbed backside 7

id say he is in the mix.

I think Harf is in it. he put shanes 7 to shame, he grabbed between handle passes, thats gotta say something.

whoa, sorry caleb, I didn't see yours.
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       11-24-2007, 2:34 PM Reply
He for sure didnt put shane's 7 to shame.

shane's was spun flat, and about as legit as you will ever see (the second one, the first was sketch city)
Old     (clay_fraley)      Join Date: Jul 2006       11-25-2007, 1:56 PM Reply
Im guna have to say Brian Hutton too. That guy is freaking nuts! He can spin like no other and there all super smoothe.

And I agree with Caleb, they were both sick, Harfs might have look sicker but Shanes is prob more tech. Its a hard call
Old     (czap)      Join Date: Oct 2007       11-25-2007, 2:31 PM Reply
I didnt know harf hit one...is there video anywhere>?
Old     (lfboardboomer)      Join Date: Nov 2006       11-25-2007, 4:17 PM Reply
Harf's back seven is def more tech. Think about how its corked and he passes the handle right at the start and then basically pulls his body back around way off axis. And grabbed with handle passes. Looks bad ass too. And I am pretty sure know one else has been able to spin like that, except Adam Errington who has the corked back 3 down

but harfs and shanes blind 7s were toeside... and thers only been a few landed. but they both could land a blind 9, just probably not a blind toe 9, or at least right now... but i dont think shane or harf are gonna be tha first to do a blind 9...

he did a second one? vid?

shane landed a second one at the parks double or nothing contest. there is a vid on www.wakeboardingmag.com and u go to vidoes and u can just type in a search for parks and itlll be like tha second vid. its an insane vid. shane rides at like tha end but theres some insane ridin on tha way...

its a hard call. so many consistent and talented enough riders. just really depends on who will be wanting to land it the most. my guess is brian hutton.
Old    benj_t            11-26-2007, 8:23 PM Reply
yeah i was thinkin hutton could for sure do one, cause after i saw tha vid on wakeworld, i was really impressed because he can spin like a mad man... and he did do a w2w blind 7
Old    benj_t            11-26-2007, 8:25 PM Reply
ahh yea, i forgot somethin... Gerry Nunn throws the biggest w2w 7 ive ever seen... it is insane cause hes way in the flats. i think Nunn could do one...
Old     (jsweat)      Join Date: Apr 2007       11-26-2007, 9:31 PM Reply
if remember correctly danny never landed a toe backside 7 its a toe backside 5 with a melon or method grab. as far as i know shane is the only person ever to land the toe backside 7 and he has done it twice. as far as backside 9s go i think henshaw will be the first to land it his backside 7s are just crazy smooth.
Old    110outlet            11-27-2007, 12:31 PM Reply
A BS9 has the same amount of handle passes as a toe1080, to even think of trying that many handle passes is mind boggoling. Other then Corey Bradly, has any one else tried the BS9?
Old     (malibuboarder75)      Join Date: Jan 2004       11-27-2007, 12:36 PM Reply
Check the Park's Double up contest on wakeboardingmag.com. Soven and Henshaw were going for BS9s.

Jeremy, Harf did land a Ts BS 7. I haven't seen video, but it was posted on alliancewake.com that he landed it.

lots of people are trying heelside bs 9's but people on this site have to be more specific. when you say blind 7, what does that even mean!
i heard about harf's bs nosegrab 7 but ive never seen anything to prove it(not saying it wasnt done, ive just never seen it)
Old     (waketrix101)      Join Date: Jun 2007       11-27-2007, 5:04 PM Reply
a bs 9 is as many handle passes as a 10 if some one lands a bs 9 this could turn into a debate on which is harder!
Old     (waterdork88)      Join Date: Aug 2005       11-27-2007, 9:30 PM Reply
i would go with the backside 9.

i can do a ts/fs 3 but i havent done a hs/bs 180 yet. so if i was a pro and i could spin that much. the backside 9 would be harder
Old    110outlet            11-27-2007, 9:40 PM Reply
Landing blind david is when they dont complete a handle pass, and landed with there arm wrapped behind them. Easiest example is a HS BS 180, dont do a handle pass and you will land like the pic at the top of this post, just cory bradly happened to throw a 720 before he did the extra backside 180 and he landed blind, arm wrapped around his back.
Old     (bbr)      Join Date: Apr 2002       11-27-2007, 9:53 PM Reply
BS and blind are the same thing. Corey Bradley will be the first to hit a HSBS 9.

Blind is an unfortunate relic of skiboarding, people calling a backside spin a "blind" or "blindside" spin. It still lingers today and causes confusion when people use the term to describe two totally different concepts. For example, some people also call landing "blind" as Jason says with the rope behind their back, even though that sort of landing is possible on backside (e.g., hs bs 180) or frontside (e.g., ts fs 360 or 720 or even hs fs 360 with a weird wrap) spins. I'm sure the b/s 900 will go down if people start trying to race to get there like the 1080, but from my experience getting wrecked going from a b/s 3 to b/s 5, that's a fairly big jump to make from a h/s b/s 7 to b/s 9...likely much bigger than a heel/toe f/s 7 to f/s 9.
Old     (brhanley)      Join Date: Jun 2001       11-28-2007, 12:27 PM Reply
That's insane! Did he land it? How'd he go from the fourth picture to the end to the third from the end so fast? That's almost a full spin there. Awesome.

yea seriosly, he did not land a w2w blind 9, it was photoshopped. and notice he put lol in tha title of his picture in his myspace...

even if it was a bs 9 wouldnt he say something about it. he is riding an 07 witness which means he must of done it early this year

when mitch langfield starts riding again he'll land one for sure.
i think rusty will be the first if he puts his mind to it.
his bs7's are almost as big as his nuclear glides.

in an interview in an aussie wake mag mitch said he has been riding away without the handle on bs 900s and switch heel 1080s. be thinks he will land a bs 9 first
