V grab handles?

Hey just wondering what a V grab handle is? I know that T grabs have the little T bar a couple of feet down the line, are V grabs like having a seperate handle a little further down the line?

T grab is just a bar hanging and the rope goes through the center -----I-----

but the V grab is more like a little wake handle with lines going to the ends ----<i>---

...that is if i have not got this wrong
