New phone - Non-Wakeboarding Discussion

So I just shattered the screen on my Droid Eris. It's time for an upgrade anyway. I'm with Verizon because it has the best coverage at our lake. So should I get the Iphone 4 or the Droid X?

I've used both...

iphone4 ftw ... though this is is like arguing prolife vs. pro-right & repub vs democrat... I think you will be happy with it if the cost of plan doesnt turn you off though...

If you can hold off the Droid bionic will be the premier droid based phone on VZW network. 4G, 4.3" screen, 1GHZ dual core processor (=2GHZ), 512 ram, 8mp rear camera 1.3 front. 16 gig standard upgradable to 40 with a new card, qHD display, 720p recording, 1080p viewing, HDMI out

I prefer the Droid platform simply because its so open with much less of the proprietary crap apple has.

I have an X and love it... but if i was you i would hold out for the bionic or the thunderbolt which should be releasing very soon. The iphone 5 will be out this summer so if you get the iphone you will be buying old technology that is already slated to be replaced. just my 2 cents
