no. its real. You can find the aftermath pictures all over the web. No one was hurt but the whale destroyed the sailboat. Snapped the mast and crushed everything up top.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that in a few days or so they will be reporting on the news that this whole thing was a hoax. Who knows though, crazy things happen. Its just rare that someone is there waiting with a camera.

Look at the guy in the boat. Either its photoshopped or he has the slowest reaction time of anyone in the sailing world. I mean I'm sure you could have heard that thing coming out of the water also. He is still looking straight ahead.

They reported it on World News Tonight. The article said there was flesh stuck to the boat. Delivered endangered species sushi delivered to the boat.

I say photo-shopped... the boat looks strange to me in the pic when the whale is jumping...Looks as though there is already damage to that side of the boat and they covered over it.

It was also on the Today Show this morning and they too validated the picture...I will say that it is odd that there was someone there waiting with a camera.

Apparently there was a tourist boat that behind them that took the picture. Since it is prime whale watching season in the area that this happened I think it is totally plausible.
