My Girlfriend and I are contemplating a roadtrip to either Las Vegas or Laughlin this weekend and were hoping maybe to bum a pull form someone if anyone's riding?

I know Lake Mead is pretty close to Vegas, but I've only been to Laughlin once. How far is Havasu from Laughlin? Are there other places to ride near Laughlin like the River?

Also, has anyone been riding at Mead or Havasu or the river lately? WHat is the weather/water temp like right now?

Last but not least...is anyone riding near Vegas or Laughlin this Saturday (10/18) that might have room for a couple stragglers with beer, food and Gas money (not gas hopefully)? Let me know. Thanks.

Dan

Lake Mojave is 10 minutes from the strip on Laughlin. Its the lake between Mead and Havasu.

Wish I could go.

Neelley,
What? We'll be back in time for the Raiders game on Monday...Plus, you can put some money down on the Chiefs while we're there to make this loss hurt less!

Mojave sounds cool. Anyone ride there?

I've been to mojave a couple times.. It is nice because it is so close to laughlin, but both times we've been there the wind has been blowing 20-25mph. Actually we have had the same luck with mead. Mojave was warm (air and water) and the river is a little cooler. You can ride on the river south of the hotels but watch out for shallow areas. Good luck!

exit katherines landing marina and go left towards the dam. Just milk that little area next to the dam. That is what i did on windy days I was there.

Just got back from Laughlin. River was low but we were in it anyway. Freaked me out, seeing the bottom so close! Sat. we went to Mojave. Windy most of the day, then calm. Water temp cool. Trunks no towels. Fun.

Yeah Mojave is hit and miss, mostly miss though because of the wind. But this time of year you might get it nice. I have been there this time of year and there was hardly any boats and it was dead calm. I would give you a 50/50 chance of getting really nice conditions. If you stay at Laughln it is way better to hit Mojave than driving all the way to Havasu. It is pretty cool to have the lake all day and then be able to stay in a nice hotel room with a casino and decent food.
