replacing my substance to ps3?

Hi guys! I need to replace my 06 LF substance 141 to a new board,I ride behind a i/o so mainly w2w and basic stuff.I'm 5'10" and 165.I learned to ride on the substance so i like the board but many people saying it's slow and the ps3 a better board overall.After doing some research on WW i'm more confused what to buy.I need some help please.

ride a watson 38. it originated from the substance.

i ride a witness 140 and it is the best board i have ever ridden.

Agree. I went from a Substance to a PS3 and hated it (PS3). Went back to a Substance and now riding this year's Watson. Awesome board.

Thanks guys, I'll go for the watson 138 if i find a decent deal on it,if not i think i stay with the substance but i go down to 138 from 142.

can you try them?
I upgraded from a substance to a ps3, and love my ps3 - i think it rides similar, but way better. more pop, softer landings etc etc. It's worth riding one to see if it works for you. I know a lot of people who haven't liked the watson, so you really can't make a judgment on other people's opinions alone!

I on the other hand went from a Substance to a Lyman.

For me the boards hook up similar, the Lyman is more gradual, which allows me to slow my riding down. I also find it has a more abrupt pop.

I was considering a PS3 to slow me down but my shop sold out and I couldn't demo one.

It all depends on what you're looking for in a new board.

If you can demo, do so.

As people have said above the most normal thing for people to do is go from a substance to a Watson. While the Watson is a solid board it just didn't react quite like I was looking for.
