Have not heard anything on the where abouts of Dean Lavelle. Just curious where he is at and what he is up too. I went to a clinic almost 10 years ago (wow...its been that long) he was awesome. Not that other riders are not awesome. I have my favs Murray, Nunn, Shapiro, Harf, Rusty. I like to watch all of them. Dean was the first big name I heard when I started boarding. He was and hopefully is still passionate about the sport. He should come back and rip again! I don't wish for any pro rider to fade or disappear. So Dean if your out there...! Shapiro...don't you go into the shadows either.

Went to Dean's school, LTS, a while back (2000 & 2001). Had a great time, miss Dean.

I live about 20 minutes from his school referenced above. I don't know him that well, but he's still around working the school and doing motocross. Again, I didn't know him "back in the day," but I see him once in awhile and I imagine he hasn't changed much. Great guy. He asked me "did you used to lift weights," I didn't think it was very funny, but everyone else in the boat did!

Yeah, he's in Pompano running LTS Wakeboard School. I ride with him all the time, he's still wakeboarding a lot though. He just doesn't have the time to compete. In fact, he just built a 64 foot long a-frame with wallrides. Thing's SIICK!
