I'm still using my 2000 hyperlite 3060's. No tears, solid, hold me tight, I wish they had more padding though. Anyway, am I missing out on anything by sticking with my now 7 year old bindings?

I might be in the minority here, but I'm all about sticking with what works. those 3060s are classics to me, and if they aren't stretched out then I don't see the need to move up. Binding technology has definitely come a long way since Y2K though!

I have been a fan of the 2000-2002 hyperlite boots. I have the 3060's, and some 2002 belmonts- with the double layer foot padding. (I would recommend finding these if you want similar, cheap, and more padding) I have just recently switched to newer gear after riding the 2007 3DS. The easy of use and great hold made me an instant fan. (I purchased 2006 shanes because they are super easy to put on and thought i should try something new)

Hey Rob- I think you answered your own question. When you feel like you need more padding the bindings are worn. The fit is only one indicator- save your knees back and hips by replacing your bindings with something new, tight and comfy

I used the 3060's for 3 or 4 years and they were great, but then i switched to a pair of CWB zeus, and the two don't even compare, IMO. The padding in the new bindings doesn't compare. Do yourself a favor and upgrade

if you could find some fresh foot beds, but the thicker ones, you'd be dialed. Call some shops and see if they have some laying around.

No Brainer---time to upgrade!! More comfort, better support and easier entry---try the CWB Factions!

If you are looking for footbeds, you can try Wiley's in Seattle, 206-762-0500. They generally have some laying around or can get them pretty easily.
