Went over a seagull sitin on a buoy. Thought he would move but never did. I don't know if birds have facial expressions, but the terror was in his face as I ollied hard out of the water. Cleared him, don't know by how much though. Where is PETA btw?

I ollied over a small deer swimming in the lake last year. No pictures or video of it. Our wake just about swallowed it so we turned around and helped point it to shore. It was priceless.

I almost rode over a snake last year about this time. Needless to say, I made sure I rode out every jump for several hundred yards down the river. My crew has been close enough to a deer and many ducks to ollie them, but we leave them alone.

bobby,

No, it was on Cathrine. I didn't realize it was a deer until I got right up to it. I just assumed it was a log (it wasn't moving much) and then I saw eyes!!! Only way to get around it was to go over it.

I ollied a gator a few years back on a skate. Scared the crap out of me...I didn't realize what it was until I saw the tail. I thought for sure that I was going to fall right next to that guy. He was only about 4' long, but still...

Last fall I was riding and a bear was swimming in front of us. I wanted to ollie it but I was afraid it was going to reach up and grab me and eat me, so I didn't ollie it, but it was still pretty sweet.

SPCA, PETA....all of them can bite me. I kill ducks in the winter time but have never ollied one on the water, nor have I cared to. Ours get too skittish around boat traffic to do that.

My friend hit a 5' gator that surfaced in front of him while skiing. He as moving too fast to avoid him. We found him about an hour later floating dead with a big cut on his head.

i know how much everyone hates tubing...but our lake gets so choppy sometimes that tubing is really fun....anyways. we were tubin and my dad took us through a flock of geese....probabyl about 10 of them got into the air in time....but the rest were either ran over by the tube...or close-lined by the rope. it was actually kinda scary...when i was a little kid i got bit by one and crapped on. i was for sure that id get crapped on hahah

One of my coaches ollied over a waverunner who got in his way in the backwater. Then the guy chased us and wanted to fight him.

You guys really don't get it. I wakeboard on a lake that is “threatened” by naturalists. They’d love to turn the lake in to a 10 hp lake. Go ahead and Ollie a duck, post it on line for the world to see. Someone is going to use your self-documented actions and boot you off your lake.

What are you talking about I saved that duck's life, he was on my wake...lol worry where you live but In AK we can create wakes all the way to shore nah mean.

Haha, Ive ollied over 2 geese before! and I tried to ollie over a herd of ducks and they all flew off right when I was about to ollie and I barely made it out alive!

I agree with bigshow, thats a good way to get treehuggers looking to protect what we all share. By the way that was barely an Ollie.

I rode right next to a gator once. And over a shark too

honestly if you are going to ollie a duck atleast make sure you are good enough to ollie 6 inches, why don't you try ollying a red ski buoy next time. Atleast if you miss, it can fight back by catching you with its rope. I mean come on, a baby duck, you deserve to be bitten by a gator

Josh B- You killed me dude!!! I was all caught up in the back and forth of the post...to ollie, not to ollie...ducks, geese, gators, environmentalists, peta, what is the proper height for an ollie to be considered an ollie and then...bam out of nowhere is your pic. Almost fell off the couch. Thanks for the laugh :-)

I guess the Ducks, Geese, Seagulls in New Jersey must be smarter then all the others states. When you start to get close they fly away before you can even attempt to ollie them! I have ollied water ski's, Tubes(empty, no tuber on board), 55Gal Marine markers and Bouy's.
