Funny how many people don't realize how sweet Anchorage is in the summer.

Yeah we're pretty happy with the Moomba's wake but we're thinking of upgrading to a Malibu 23LSV. The tackle happened when I was trying to pull myself onto the swim deck and Rabbit (Pete) jumped at me. I actually dodged him but another buddy Roger was right behind him. I've got it on video on my myspace. Check it out!

Alaska is awesome! That's why I wanted someone to post pics!! The one with the doc & your setup is epic! I've been and would love to go back, now I know we've got WWers to ride with...

Hey Big Heavy, I was reading that Josh Boyd thread (awesome read by the way) and saw what you offered Paul. Right on man! Anytime you find yourself in AK you are more than welcome to come ride with us. We suggest coming around the 4th of July. Its the warmest and we have a blast. Later

My buddy Rabbit took that pic of the boat. he was standing in the water to take it. The best pic of our boat for sure.

Is there alot of good riding in AK? I am hopefuly getting stationed there in the near future and know it has an awesome snowboard scene. It would be close to Anchorage...Also -how often out of the year can you ride up there...if your hard core??!! Nice pics also

In the Anchorage area there is no riding/boats allowed lakes. But if you drive around 50 miles out to the valley there is Big Lake. It's about a 5 mile lake and there is usually glass to be found somewhere. We put the boat in the water in April and ride until Sep. You can ride in October but that all depends on exactly how hard core you actually are. But when we can't ride the lake we ride the mountains so it works out.

I was born in Anchorage and spent my childhood there... It's, by far, the most beautiful place I have yet to see. Glad to see there are some other boarders up there...

In July and August the water is usually around 65-70, sooooooo warm!

How did you get that surf wake so big in the first pic? I have an LSV also and I have never been able to get a wake that huge.

Full rear ballast...8 people in the boat on one side and one guy standing on the side holding on to the tower leaned out(like a 250 pound guy). makes for a nice wave.

oh...and zero wake plate

to bigballin...I looked at your profile and noticed that you have a 2005 lsv...from 2005 to 2006 moomba changed the lsv haul. what is now the outback is the old lsv. that could be the why.
