1st and (1/2) Annual "Day At The Ditch"

Since last year really didn't count, hence the 1/2... haha Lets start getting a list together of people that want to come and the dates that work best for everyone. We are shooting for somewhere in May so....

Hopefully fully we can turn this into an annual event.

Those of you who do not know what the Ditch is, where it is, or why we ride it. Your not going to want to miss this!

Count me in. I'll be there with my old school X-Star and family. Is Destin the nearest place to stay, or is there a closer option? Late May would be best for us.

How is the Weekend of the 24-26 of May, Memorial Day Weekend, for everyone? That is the Best Weekend for us.

BTW - The plan last year was to camp out, however this idea fell apart. My family would like to camp out this year, and I think that is Bobs plan too... So we will see

I will for sure be there this year.... I was supposed to be going to KC Watersports for the WakeUp and Ride event but my son has his preschool Graduation, so I will be in town. I should have a decent crew with me also.

Sam you saw what happened last year when I tried to get something organized. Still 4 weeks though. My thinking was those who didnt show just missed out on some great water, as you know. I need to figure out my perfect pass before that weekend for sure. Seems to work in rpm mode but acts crazy in speed mode. Weird since my temp is still working and I changed out the wheel and pin but it was still not reading the speed right.

rode the ditch with Matt Saturday. Boy did I miss that place. Perfect water all day long.

Oh and Matt Jumped over Ryan, It was pretty sweet looking!

So we figured we'd head out this weekend for a scouting trip to the Ditch. Pulling through Pensacola, the trailer wheel starts wobbling like mad. Snapped a couple of studs off and the lug nuts were loose. Better to happen now rather than Memorial Day weekend I suppose. It figures that nobody in town has the screw in wheelstuds I need. ARGGGHHH!

The plan as of now is for everyone to meet up at the ditch sometime Saturday and Sunday maybe Monday also but it all depends.

If the weather is nice soem peopel might be camping out but not sure.

From Destin

-Take HWY 98 EAST
-Take This until you come to CR-395
-Say on this road until you come to the ramp
-You will know if you have gone to far ( the end of the road is the ramp.. ha ha)

Port Washington is the "best" place to put in, well the only place... It is a crappy ramp, but the amazing conditions make up for it.

Ok I am counting down the days!! As of right now it appears that we will have around 4 or 5 boats out which is amn improvement from last year.. (2..) ha ha

Anyways hoped everyone is excited, I should be getting my hands on a Ronix Ibex and Ronix One for anyone to Demo... Also if you like it I can get you a special price.

I used my connections to get us some Ronix Demo Boards for this weekend. I have the Ibex and One being shipped to my house. They should be here Thursday or Friday. Good deals on them if you would like to purchase :-)

Sam were you still wanting to try and build a small slider? I think we will only be there for sat on Matt and Ryans SAN. It would be cool if we could set up something even if its is small? Anyone got any plans for a small, simple slider? I could bring a cordless, couple batteries, some 2-3" screws, small sledge hammer, maybe a couple 2X4's.

I would love to have something to hit out there for the weekend. The only wood I have lying around is a 4x4 and 2 2x4s. What can we use to cover it??

Is anybody still planning on camping out? If the weather is nice we are planing on doing that.

Need some PVC pipe, I guess. I wont be camping, as much as I wanted to. I do think I found one of the best spots since you can get your vehicle pretty close to it. It is just past half way down the ditch though. We parked the boat there last year and my kid got out and walked around a bit to check the site. Its gonna feel like 76 at night so I hope your bringing a fan for the tent. We usually bring a deepcycle, small inverter, and a oscillating fan. Oh yea the flies were pretty bad so make sure you bring some "OFF" or other bug block.
