So this weekend is Sea Fair in Seattle. If your are into making some popcorn and watching idiots unload boats, then this is the day to do it. I am getting ready to go to chelan with my family and me and my cousin had to ride the Sea Doo's over to the launch. I was observing some people putting their boat in and I could tell this was coming. They started backing down the ramp and got the boat trailer about halfway in the water and to them that was as far as they needed to go. The dad got back in the truck as the mom pulled the oposite direction with the bowline (the boat wasn't anywhere close to floating) and she puts all of her weight into it and the dad punches it. I was watching all of this in slow motion laughing before it happened. The boat bounced and the trailer flew out from beneath it and the mom fell on her butt. Because the trailer was only half way in the water, the boat went KABOOOM! on the concrete of the launch making a smashing/cracking noise as it settled. The dad got out and all three grinded it on the concrete into the water as it happened everytime. Got any other funny stories??

Last year I saw a guy completely unstrap his boat from the trailer while he was waiting in line to launch and when he started to back down the entire boat slid off the back of the trailer and it just skidded all the way down the ramp into the water it was good stuff

I saw a guy trying to launch when it was low tide. When it was low like that the grade pretty much went from progressive slope to agressive. The guy was towing a 20'-22' Cuddy with an older Dodge Dakota. The boat drug him all the down the launch with the front tires skidding all the way down. He made it into the water but I'd venture to say that his ass got hungry and started eating his shorts!

I saw a family launching last weekend that had forgotten to put the plug in. He launched the boat, had his wife and kids on the dock holding the lines and left to go park the truck. When he got back to the ramp his little boy said "daddy the boat is full of water". This is in the ocean. The guy jumps in the sinking boat turns on the batteries, flipping the pumps on but they can't keep up. So the whole family jumps in the water and pushes the boat up on the concrete ramp. ouch. It's just a bayliner. They had to push it back in the water to get it back on the trailer. I'm sure stuff like this happens all the time.

The boat launch near our house has 3 ramps, and two docks between the ramps... a guy backed his boat down, and managed to get the right side of the trailer on a dock, and insted of just pulling forward and trying again he just cuts it hard and the boat and trailer fall down and land at a 90 degree angle, it was hours til he was gone for good

A few weeks ago I saw a guy putting in two yamaha waverunners and he unhooked them in the lot and start backing down to the ramp. He ended up hitting the brakes and they both slid right off onto the concrete about ten feet before the water line. He got out and made it look like he tried to do that and he wasnt too worried about it.
