Here is what my wake looks like. I am riding at 70' at 23 mph in this pic. I have tried all configurations of the stock ballast and I can't get the curl at the top of the wake to go away. Any suggestions to get the curl at the top to go away would be great.Upload

add more bow weight and increase the speed.

Those x2's need 6-800 in the walkway/bow.

That pic looks slower than 23

Looks like too much weight for the speed you are riding. Take out some weight or ride faster. And a little weight in the nose could help too.

I would try any combonation of these 3 things:

-Add bow/walkway weight and/or let out some ballast in the rear.
-Calibrate your speedo (looks slower than 23mph)
-Tell the driver to drive a straight line

NAW, lol at that final suggestion. I didn't notice the wash until you said that.

Agreed... Looks like you are riding slow. Never trust speedo calibration. Right now we're riding at 27 according to our perfect pass. I'm thinking it's more like 25. 2 mph would make a huge difference.

I rarely look at the speed for my riders, unless they know exactly where it should be on my (miscalibrated) boat. I typically put them at their desired length and set it to whatever speed makes the wake clean where they're hitting it as a slowest possibility..they can go faster, but not slower :-)

Agreed. I'd add a couple hundred up front and bump the PP up 1.5-3 mph.

I've ridden a lot of boats and I have calibrated the speedo with my GPS. I tried going all the way to 26 and it got slightly better but still not good and Im not comfortable riding faster than that. That being said is bow weight probably the answer?

I have an 07 X2 as well. When i first got my boat I experienced the same thing. A very washy wake that was less than firm. In fact it was only washy on the port side. I just added weight to it to clean it up. And yes, weight in the bow is very important. The best weight for me was 300 in the bow, 300 on star, 300 on port, 300 in rear in addition to the stock ballasts. Those weights are approx. being people not fatsacs. speed was 25.5 and rope length at 70'.

I got a great wake with 2 550s in the back, a 650 infront of the back bench, a 650 in the walk way all the way in the front and 400 in the bow up front. All this plus stock. At 26mph and 75 ft
