The water conditions were great today and the weather was bearable in Dallas at the 1st MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour event of the season. The riders are in a transition week, from the Nautique wake to the X-Star wake, but it’s not slowing down any of our crew. The Dallas event is also a stop that will help determine rider’s seeding and qualifying for the remainder of the King of Wake events, so the pressure is on.

Hyperlite stand outs included heat winners Jacob Valdez & Danny Burnstein from the Jr. Pro Mens division and Jimmy LaRiche, Shaun Murray, Alex Scagliotti & Josh Palma from the Pro Men qualifying heats. Nick Davies, current Cable World Champion, also made it through the round finishing second in his heat to Shane Bonifay.

Tomorrow the Quarter Finals begin for Jr. Pro Men and Pro Men and the Semi Finals go down for the Pro Women. The pressure will be on as the Pro Men who qualified today are joined by the 16 top finishers from last year’s PWT.

Standout and Hyperlite front man Rusty Malinoski will be looking forward to continuing his quest for the King of Wake Title behind his boat of choice.

Our style master and officially named Rail Master for 2008, JD Webb is in the house as well, and after making the finals in the first two events of the year he’ll be looking for the top spot in the first PWT event of the Season.

The young gun Jimmy LaRiche is riding well and took it easy today saving his energy for the next 3 heats and still took the top spot.

We’ll also look for Raimi Merritt to get things done for us in the Pro Women’s division and if her ankle holds up we’ll be hoping to see the first S-Bend to go down in competition.

Check back for updates throughout the weekend!

GN out
