looks like the stole the decal lettering style (raised) from the new surpas. the dash looks terrible imo . The interior looks good other than the dash.

Great looking boat, but I wish they had done something different with the billet piece below the remote where the ballast gauges used to be. I guess you still need the space if you decide against the MFD? Or is that standard?

Never have liked the dash on those boats. The style of switches looks like it should be on a 1950's tractor in Minnesota. The graphics look good though.

Shawn, those style of switches are very durable. If you look in a NASCAR Racecar, you will see the same switches. On some dashes, I lke the plastic ones, but on the X-Star, IMO, they look like they belong.

I can see why there are so many more naked boats these days, the graphics keep getting worse (all brands) That being said, overall the rest of the boat looks nice.

Those switches are a bunch more durable. They might not be that appealing, but the will last a lot longer than the plastic crap that becomes brittle in the sun.

I prefer the new switches over the rocker switches in my '04. That being said I find it weird they are not illuminated. The red end glows when the switch is active, but I have almost no clue other than memory as to which switch is what. Kinda bush league for a "flagship" boat IMHO.

dash is boring... The machined aluminum was a bit much the last few years, but now its just too plain

Andrew the ballast gauges are all built into the digital display. I'll snap some pictures once it's rigged and has power to the display.

I like everything about that boat but the graphics. What is that supposed to be on the back of the boat? Someone said a bullseye but I have never seen a bullseye like that before. I like the word Mastercraft on the side and love the little x-series sticker.

so do the ballast gauges work any better than before? i am amazed that boat companies cannot get fuel and ballast gauges that read and work properly. Fuel tank sensors in cars seem to work fine. My ballast gauges arent even close most of the time.

Your car isnt pitching and rolling either. I am sure they will be happy to hear from you when you engineer out a solution.

Andrew the new ballast is monitored through the digital display in the dash along with the perfect pass, depth finder, digital tach, system settings for several things on the boat. It's a pretty sweet setup.

The Dial type gauges are so much easier to read on the fly. Your eyes don't have to hunt or focus on them. I drove a Malibu with the digital setup and it about drove me crazy.

I think that is an x2 not an x star. If you look at the rear "bullseye" graphic it has the x in one circle and 2 in the other.

The boat looks very sharp.. The dash is a bit "crowded" for my style. Lots of bling, curves and other hassle. It's getting tired for me to look at this when driving the boat. Just a simple clean look is saver and easier imho. For the rest, it looks really good. I also like the graphics.
