Post graduation and upon job acceptance I would love to be able to become a true boat owner.
The 205V is essentially what I would be looking at for starters. What is a pretty fair price for these? Just curious, I have seen numerous out there for sale, without the price posted. Anybody know?

Thanks for helping my off season dreaming...

Depends on hours and time of year purchasing, and to another extent, region of the country. Also, it would depend on what it is equipped with. Tower, PP, ballast, shower, heater, upgraded stereo, and upgraded engine were all options. If I had to guess, a totally stock 2001 205V with say 300 hours and good condition might run you around $23-25K?? You'll see some listed for very high prices (I think there is an 04 on boattrader for $36K) and some for lower (there was talk of somebody in a forum seeing a 1999 listed for $21K.) If I had the choice, I'd get a 2001, because it has the good seating arrangement that the 1999's didn't have, but also it has the 3 piece rear hatch which is so much more convenient than the one piece that my 2000 has.

I have a 2001 Xstar with 420hrs on it. Loaded, and in excellent condition. I would let it go for 28K.

Just sold a 2001 X-Star with all the popular options with 375 hours for $31700.

Did I say 28? I meant 29,999

I just went through the same search process, and I ended up looking more at the '99 and '00 models to keep it under $26K. I think the '01 - '02 boats in good condition are going to be in the high $20's to low $30's depending on options.
Mid 20's maybe for a '00 or '01 for a motivated seller.

I bought one that has a long list of needed repairs and it was at a discount, so I don't think mine is a good comparison.
