Because the water level fluctuates so much, there really isn't a great shoreline at shasta. As a result, there are few "lakeside" houses. The few that exist don't have docks for obvious reasons. When the shore is exposed, it's usually steep and rocky.
With that said, this house is very close to the water (depending on the level, or course). We plan to have both our boats (MB TWB & Calabria ProV) anchored off shore on an Anchor Buddy.
Here are few pics taken when the water level is 40-50' below full pool (just guessing by the looks of them). It's a short walk down the slope to the water... maybe 100 feet. We'll be there in late June and I'm almost positive the water level will be higher than in these pics. In 2010 the water level was only 8' below the top in late June.
As far as location, all three homes I referenced are on the same street in Lakehead (just around the corner from Antler's public ramp). I'd rather be down by Obrien's or all the way over in the Pit. But I didn't find any other houses that were on the water.
