5.0 ho. Just replaced the starter. New cranking battery. Went to check every thing before we went out and no battery. There is a battery switch, but only one battery. none of the cabels are labeled(1 or 2 etc). So I have four cables, two red pos. and two black neg. So neg are just a ground, right? Shouldent matter what neg I use with pos? I can se the neg grounds, looks solid. tryed to get power on one, two and both on the switch. No blower, no horn etc with any combo of black-red. Tryed the battery out of the car, and no blower. the starter is hooked up correct, all fuse resets are good to go. this boat had a blower with the old battery, but no start, so here we are, any help. Thanks

ok, so the red cable that goes from the batt. switch threads under the block to just about the area of the starter. Where does this go to, I allready have a small red and small yellow running up to the fuse area. when I hooked this red to the terminal that allready had the red wire and got the blower, but the motor turned over too. Took the key out and attached that wire and onse again the motor cranked, but no key????

You will get a lot more help if you are more coherent in your posting.
