Anybody ever clear bra tower speakers? I want to do my freshly painted Pro-485s but don't know if they can get it to stick to the contours and I don't know how much it will set me back.

I dont know this for sure, but it might work as shrink wrap. Like heat it up in the spots that dont fit right?

Any particular reason why you want to do them? Only thing that should be hitting them should be bugs when trailering, and for trailering down you have speaker covers?

I think speaker covers look good and are teh easy fix.

BUT

If you're hell bent on clear bra try these guys and apply heat to make the contours/bends.

Mikeski, I've seen it done to lots of vehicles with tons of dificult contours so there shouldn't be a problem having them covered. I talked with one of our old installers a couple years ago and he said there were guys that road raced their Porsches doing the whole vehicle and we all know how curvy a Porshce can be. My only caveat with that particular 3M product (love 3M by the way) is it can tend to yellow over time. If I had to guess at a price for a set of 485's I'd say $250ish

I already have speakersoxx and they work great. Unfortunately they do buffet a little while towing. After 3 years of towing with them they wore into the sides of the plastic housings a little. Now that they are painted I know for sure that they will wear into the paint on the housings. Before getting speakersoxx I previously wrapped them in commercial packing wrap before each outing. Works great but it's a pain. If it's going to cost $250 then I will just run the covers and repaint them again once the paint gets worn down.

why not invest in some new speaker covers? You can get some custom made, guy who made our cover made some for us. hell, you could get them made out of neoprene if you wanted.
