I was heading through Richfield, Utah yesterday and saw something that made me chuckle. A motor home coming the oppposite direction had a nice Malibu Wakesetter in tow.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw that they had road bicycles strapped to both sides of the tower uprights. It appeared that it was somehow attached to the tower and then to the bimini (which was fully deployed going 75MPH). 2 bicycles on a tower. I can't believe that they could not find room in the motor home for the bicycles. I can't help but think that the bicycle would be rubbing some major paint damage on the tower going down the freeway.

It was a little tough to get a picture going down the freeway in the opposite direction, but I wish I could have.

The other one I remember was the guy that put his home stereo speakers on the tower...carpeted boxes and all. Anyone remember that?

... not on the tower, but on our first trip to Florida we took an F250 and our Supersport nautique.... while down there for ~4 months we wanted another way to get around besides the 8 MPGs of the F250..... so we had my moped on the center of the boat.... funny looking rig going down the road

How about a slider/rail? Can't remember who or what video it was in, but someone had a slider ratcheted down to the top of the tower. Went from the wake of one boat to the tower slider of the other....pretty gutsy move in my opinion. Maybe Out of the Pond?

wakeboards...... flopping in the wind at 70mph, one day im sure they will outlaw wakeboards in racks while towing your boat on the road faster than 40mph..

There's a guy around here with an old Supra with a gigantic tower that has two integrated observer seats. Basically they welded a couple rails across the middle of a really tall tower, and mounted a couple dune buggy seats to them, facing backwards. I've seen it in action on the lake, too - it's pretty sweet, really. This was also one of the first towers on a boat in this area - I remember seeing that boat around in like '98.

The boat is actually for sale right now if anyone's interested. It's parked on the side of highway 620 near Mansfield.

Stiffy tower...saw one of these on Don Pedro one time (the sail wasn't deployed) and needless to say, we were scratching our heads.

Missile speakers.

About 10 bundled noodles zip tied to the tower.

Brian, not sure about the sail (maybe it's just a novelty?), but the tower extension that it sits in was apparently about a 10-foot extender that you attached your wakeboard rope to in order to get extra hang time. I don't know if it ever worked, but it sure was weird looking.

The sail is suppose to stop the boat from swaying back and forth when the rope is attached to the top. If the rider is one side and the boat leans that direction the sail end moves that direction forcing the boat into an upright position...

Those cheater towers are one insane ride. Try it sometime.

Craziest thing I've ever seen mounted on a tower is a little oral Annie blow up sex doll. One of the guys on Sammamish pulls her out once in a while. Needless to say, things usually get pretty carried away at that point!

Those speakers look pretty tough! What a deal... used speakers for $1600. Does that come with a free pair of Stunna shades too?

Yep. Pretty sure I've posted these here before. Their down in the Houston, TX area. I'm sure it's a liability, but the last I talked to them, they were lovin it. And thinkin about building a 2nd one for another boat.

HEhe, sweet. Gotta love that feature in a boat!

Hey Fred,
Did they finish the tri-level boat house yet? I haven't seen any pics of it since it was being built. Looked like it was gonna be sweet. Especially with the cable ride down to the main house.

I dont' know about the zip line, but he just sent me pics of the boat house and dock. The bulkhead has been finished and his boathouse has been done since late spring I estimate. Looks flippin' awesome!

I am all about the train horns on the tower, I was trying to figure out how it would look, not so bad. Item number 102 just added to my list.
