Christie, you're killing me. Time to talk to my Malibu dealer again.

Seriously, one of the best looking boats I've seen. Congrats!

Dang, girlfriend!!!! Looks like you might even have enough room up there for my board too! Congradulations - when/where's her maiden voyage?

Are there any accesories that you skipped? That is one VERY nice ride. Probably one of the smoothest looking rides I have seen. Everything matches and flows perfect on the boat. Congrats and have a great time on your boat. You must be extremely excited to get that baby on the water!!!!!!!!!!

NICE looking boat seeing it with the human eye. John and I just saw you on Hwy 4 getting off at your exit at about 6:20. Nice colors. Looks good behind your rig too. Congratulations!

Christie I so very happy for you!

Andrew, no she did not miss one thing on this boat. Did a stereo test tonight and I started walking down the street to see how far away you could hear it, well let's just say I got tired of walking and came back.

Congrats, Christie.......

Thanks, everyone! I can't get the smile off my face right now! I can't wait to take it out on the water and get it broken it!

Tomorrow is the maiden launch......I probably won't sleep tonight :-)

Christie are you married? If not..do you wanna be? My girlfriend won't mind as long as she can get a pull every once in a while!!! Just kidding.

That is one sweet ride! Maybe I'll get a chance to see it (or ride behind it) in person sometime. I was telling Buffalow that I want to come up for a few days to ride before it starts getting cold. Maybe in a couple weeks or so?

Don't forget to break a bottle of Champagne over the hull before lowering it in the water...oh nevermind the person that started that tradition obviously never saw your boat!

Congrats Christie and very nice looking VLX. Is that black on Charcoal? If so very good color combo. Looking forward to seeing you on the delta. Hopefully the tower and light bar and racks and etc. don't blind me... Maybe we could see what kind of spine two VLX's can throw out. BTW What shop did you pick it up from?

Dan - HaHa...no, not married, but not really looking to be either...lol! You and your girlfriend are welcome to come and ride anytime. The only warning is that you might have to endure my son's "interesting" rendition of "I want to hurt you...I don't know why!"

I bought the bottle of champagne, but I think I'll just pop it open and toast instead :-)

Chad - Yes, it's charcoal on the main stripe with black accent. I bet we could put up a fat spine...we will have to do that one day for sure!!

Chad - I picked it up at Ultimate Water Sports in San Jose. I'm very happy with the service from Dave and crew. Anyone looking for a Malibu should definitely head down that way!!!

Christie, is that tower polished or anodized? If it’s polished I would recommend a sealer such as Zoopseal to prevent oxidation, less polishing. It also works well on anodized material, but not as necessary as polished, just a thought based on my excruciating experience with a polished tower.

Yeah, and WHAT?? No rod holders? No trolling motor? Not even a dad-blamed fish finder? How are we supposed to ever catch anything in THAT? Christie, I think your priorities have gotten really screwed up. You should talk to a doctor about that.

Bobo - It is the polished tower...thanks for the recommendation. I'll check that out!

The white registration letters are just temporary until they can be painted on.

I got 6 hours on it already today....it was soooo smooth on the water. I sure can't wait to ride behind it!!

Doc - the rod holders are on backorder

Yes it is, saw it in person today while on the delta. Nice meeting you and your "football" crew, Christie. Your stereo sounded good and I'm sure you can't wait to ride behind it tomorrow....who needs to wait 20 hrs to ride behind it? I was in that red/white mastercraft near those big yachts today.

You have a great looking boat as well as a nice rig. Is your Excursion Diesel?

Contest for the best rig, you have it hands down.

I think I need to wax my boat tomorrow, but it will not look as good as yours does just sitting there that's for sure.

Congrats on the purchase of the best wakeboard boat around!

Okay yeah yadah yadah yadah all the rest of the c|-/\p but why do you realy need EIGHT wakeboard rack spots? do you have alot of friends or is it just a typical yank thing?
Old     (forwaken)      Join Date: Jan 2003       10-05-2003, 5:33 AM Reply
Good to see you got out Lynsey, sorry we couldn't hook up again, maybe next time.

Christie we will be out at Ladds/possibly Victoria's today if your around we will stop by and say hi. My boat is yellow with a charcoal accent and a yellow swoop tower. No blingage like yours though, except for the batracks, but they'll be covered in boards.

man, i don't think i would ever need 8 board racks
Old     (lehmur)      Join Date: Oct 2001       10-05-2003, 7:33 PM Reply
For those of you that don't know Christie, she frequently has 8 boards or more in her boat and sometimes that many riders. She is well-known for offering a ride to just about anyone who needs one. If you figure in 5 or 6 riders, which she typically has, each with a board, a wakeskate for all to share, and a surfboard or two there is plenty of reason for the racks.
Sounds like some of you just don't have that many friends...

Lyndsey - it was nice meeting you too...hope to see you out there again soon.

HairBandude - no, I got the V10 instead of the diesel.

Chad - wish I had seen your post sooner...I would have looked for you for sure. Let me know next time you are coming out!

Thanks, Mike.

Alan - Yes, she rides GREEAATTTTTT!!!!!

Regarding 4 racks, I am in total agreement. Four or more people on the boat can fill 4 racks with ease. Plus, there is the surf board and the wakeskate. If you ask me, EVERY boat should have 4 racks (now if only CC would make a tower that can handle 4 racks). On my shasta trip, a few weeks ago, we were in a constant pinch for board space with only two racks.

How was the stock wake Christie?
Old    lachlantait            10-05-2003, 11:09 PM Reply
righto regarding my comments earlier about the whole 4 racks thing. down in aus we ride in rivers and most just chuck all there stuff on the bank and ride of the bank. i myself only have 2 boards but i only have ever taken both 2 out like maybe 3 times in the last year so i need no rack anyway.

Nice Christie... We missed you and the rest of the gang at Pedro. There is still time for some lake trips though. The water was 76 degrees and flat most of the day. Congrats on the new ride.

Christie,

I got my BU detailed this week -- cleaned up from the sun fade. So now the boat is nice for me. It is also nice for re-sale.

So, should I get a new BU?

How you have perfected the wake?
How do you cover the boat? Tower up/dn?
How big is the gas tank?
