If not, should I get a vinyl guy to fix this or a seamstress??
And if so, will all the threads start to do this????
This is a 2001 Moomba Outback.

I don't think that your threads would be rotting in just three years. If that is wood under the seam maby you took on some water and it's swelling.

Looks like the thread is giving out. I've read that some cleaners like Simple Green can cause thread weakening like this. Yes, I'd have it re-sewn immediately. If it gets big and the vinyl rips, you're out $.

FWIW, I don't think there is any wood in an '01 Moomba. Look like seat foam underneath to me.

If it's on a seat or somewhere that you can easily take the staples out and take the skin off, an upholstery shop should be able to run a new seam down there for next to nothing. I had my drivers and passengers seats done for $10, and they looked like new (they were in WAY worse shape than yours).
