Sick guys, congrats on the purchase. You'll be amazed by the wake. It doesn't look huge, but it gives you huge boot. I'm always so stoked to ride behind a Sanger.

Andrea,

Beautiful boat, nothing else I can say that hasn't already been said. You guys coming out to the event this Sunday? I would love to check it out up close. What did you get for the ballast options? If your looking to maxamize the wake and need some tips let me know, I think I have the 215 dialed for wake. I will keep an eye out for you on the water.

Scott & Andrea

So STOKED for the 2 of you!!! Very CLEAN, super sweet color combo. I love the solid hull & inner deck, the new logo looks dope as well. If Ronnie's V215 was good with 500 + I can only imagine what your will be like with 1500 + =)

I know after 1000 + on your supreme in under 5 years this beauty will be spending some serious time on the Delta. For those of you who haven't met Scott & Andrea, next time you see the boat throw em a wave... Very cool peeps with an ever increasing bag ( aresneal ) of tricks!!!

Looking FWD to a pull ~ Lzy

Thanks everyone, we are so stoked on her!

Mark- Monday or Tueday? call us! Anyone else is welcome to hit us up for weekday Delta riding as well!

Gary- Ive heard that your wake is dialed. We did get the triple ballast, hard tanks(we are SO over sacks for now) So we have that which is what, 900-1000lbs?, plus 1100 lbs of lead and pop bags spread out, but we are stil working on their placement so any tips dialing us in will help. Thanks!
We might come out Sunday morning but would have to be off the water by 11:30, so maybe we'll see you, if not feel free to get in touch to meet up and ride.

Love the colors on that thing.....Red and black is da bomb
Old    mendo247            09-22-2006, 8:41 AM Reply
andrea- not that i know anything, but i run 200-300 hundred pounds of lead in the back and about as much as i can fit under the front seats and driver and pass compartments i think usually around 600 pounds.. sometimes we will also fill a sack or 2 in the nose (also have the factory tripple ballast)... seems to me that with a few passangers in the rear seating area these boats prefer most of the ballast placed up front..

Hey I am shocked you guys didn't get an X-2 or an X-1. Not trying to start a boat war here I just know that Scott and Andrea really liked that wake.
Hope u like the new boat.

B.C.P........
They have a very similar wake to the X-2, I think that the X2 is just a tad more lippy but I say this without actually riding the X-2 and just relying on what some of the CIE boys have said about mine compared to theirs.

Andrea;

I run 600 lb of pop in the nose, the factory center ballast about 240 additonal mid ship, and a 400lb extreme sac in each rear locker. I have taken a little out due to not liking taking the extra time to plain but with the wake plate that problem is fixed. So then I would add another 80 on each side of the batteries. If you have the wake plate (Hydraulic) then set it at about 25% at 24.5 and I ride currently at 75'.

I know the Supra you guys ran had a good wake and I remember seeing you guys at Rivers End before filling em up so I know the feeling on the sacs.

Coop, your the MAC of Sanger owners, You gots knowlege. 2 weeks Bro and its PARTY TIME.

yeah Mike, were surprised as well that we passed up the X1, that's what we were planning on getting...but we were blown away by the Sanger demo. The wake is great, exactly what wanted, SO similar to what we like about the X1, we would not have gone with the Sanger if we didnt like the wake just as much. (We actually rode an X1 the day before the demo and the day after.) With Ski World on hiatus, and Scott H. at Tracy boats treating us so well, the benefits of the Sanger out weighed the X1(still love the boat, and it seems like everyone we ride with has one.)

I think the wake is just as lippy. A nice big ramp with a hard kick at the top, and a little wider than an X1 too. I ride the X1 at 80 and this boat kicked my butt(and ear) at 80.

Gary- whats your total weight?(Im bad with doing math in my head)
Old     (scott313)      Join Date: Jul 2006       09-22-2006, 10:17 AM Reply
Gary - Thanks for the info, yesterday we put 340lbs in the bow plus the front ballast, 100 midship to move around and 660 in the back plus the stock ballast. (around 2100lbs total) The wake was awesome, long ramp with a nice kick at the top. We were riding at 80ft around 23.5mph, the boat had no problem getting up on plane.

Hmmm, that's kinda funny, Andrea. Just interesting the different factors that go into making a wake. That boat has an extra variable with the wake plate. When I've ridden the V-215 I thought it was soo much like my old Sanger DLX. The wake wasn't quite as big, but had a deceptively huge kick. I always thought the wake was a bit narrow though. I almost always find myself going to the flats behind the Sanger. I actually think you can take tricks bigger behind the Sangers because of the smooth pop they develop, but you also have to be a bit more precise on your timing.

Anyway, can't wait to ride behind it one of these days. Ha, ha, we'll hook up for a ride someday, I promise.

Yeah, I dont know Im bad at analyzing wakes, but I know the V215 and X1 are my favorites, both are fun as hell and wider than our old Supreme.
Old     (sanger215guy)      Join Date: Oct 2004       09-22-2006, 10:41 AM Reply
Scott,
I bought mine with the 315 in it and I have not added the wakeplate yet (still sitting in the garage). But I run the fixed plate at about 1/4" up from dead zero. Don't get me wrong the boat has the power to pull but getting the nose to push through with alot of weight and people sometimes seems like it takes to long for me. I ride behind my friends SAN 210 and the thing I love about it is how quick it is out of the hole and on plane. Granted we only run about 400 lb over stock.

Andera, I am running 1900lb total right now but have ran 2250 and the wake very impressive.
Old     (scott313)      Join Date: Jul 2006       09-22-2006, 11:07 AM Reply
Gary,

We have the fixed plate as well. What's the wake shape like with it set at 1/4" up? The boat we demo'd had the hydrolic plate and we tried it set down from zero. Seemed like the wake got to steep, we decided on the fixed because we liked the wake shape best at zero.

That is a beautiful boat and you can't beat Sanger for a quality boat. Here is the 94 DLX we had, I loved that boat. It was the first open bow ever in the ski club and boy did I take heat for that at the time.Upload

Enjoy it!

how bout some pics with those ballast weights..

I just set mine up with 100lbs in the nose (2x 50lbs of sand) then a 85lbs brick for adjustment, 100lbs by the batteries (50 each) and 150lbs in each rear locker. this is all in addition to the stock triple ballast. Weather permiting I will be riding tomorrow morning and find out how she is.

This is a 60/40 split I worked with gary on.

Scott,

The wake is lippy but not to steep. I suggest that you dial in the weight first to the size you like and then if you want take a little up on the plate about 1/16th at a time.

Scott & Andrea...Boat is sick. I like the colors scheme. I am running in my boat for weight 600lbs in the rear lockers...300ea and about 300lbs upfront now. Plus stock triple ballast. The last time you rode it we had Aarons pop bags and 300lbs of concrete.
Congrats on the boat.
