I know this card lost a lot of its drawing power when Edgar and Maynard was cancelled. But there are still some good match ups on this card. Plus it is memorial day and a good way to get people together.

Rampage vs. Hammel - Seems alright. I am hoping Rampage will pound him. But Rampage has not been very aggressive in last couple fights.

Mir vs Big Country- I actually think Big Country is gonna dominate. I might be crazy but under all that fat I think country has skillz. We will see what happens.

The rest of the card is pretty solid as well. Sometimes these cards that don't have the big names on them produce the best fights. I am hoping that is the case with this card. Kind of sad but the fight I am most looking forword to is the following week on free TV. Pettis vs. Guida. I think that is gonna be a war.

I didnt even know there was a PPV on this weekend...the card doesnt really interest me but I would like to see Jackson fight. Hammil is a good fighter and tough as nails, it will be interesting if Hammil can get Jackson on his back.

This should be a free fight at this point.

Couldn't be less interested in this card..

Rampage by Ko
Mir by KO
Alves by KO
couldn't give two beans about the rest and I'm an OG MMA fan.. I'm getting over saturated with Zuffa, missing Japanese MMA and really missing K-1.

Hate is right. Too many injuries and Zuffa is still pushing this card at $50.00 a PPV buy. I am not going to be paying for this card, especially after the LW title fight fell through.

I have zero interest in this card as well. Way too many PPVs going on these days.. and with subpar cards.

It seems like lately EVERYONE is getting injured in these main event fights. What's the deal? Are people fighting again too soon because of the push for a PPV each month?

I'm not too over the moon about this card either, but sometimes these are the ones that turn into the best.

However, I also think it should be a free fight....just not enough relevent star power. Seems like these fights are really just put together to see where these fighters stack up in their division.

The questions are: Does Rampage still want to fight? Is Rick Story for real? Does Big Country have what it takes to make a run for the belt?

In regards to injuries and fight pull outs, I think this is just a byproduct of Zuffa offering insurance to fighters who get injured in training.

All that being said:

Hammill by decision
Mir by decision
Story by KO

The rest...eh...whatever.

Does Rampage still want to fight? So long as there is money invovled but fighting for fightings sake, no.

Does Big Country have what it takes to make a run for the belt? No way in hell. He's entertaining and keep the real fighters busy while waiting to get another shot.

Thats an interesting contention regarding the insurance. I think its more about volume of fights and time to recover. These guys are fighting a ton and the training for MMA is insanely intense, much more so than is boxing and boxers don't fight nearly as frequently. I think as time goes on we'll see the big fighters stretching out the time between the fights like smart boxers do. In the end they'll have longer careers and garner more money per fight.

I am going with he following:

Mir by submission - Yhea I know big country has not been submitted and all that, but I think Mir wants revenge from their early years
Hamil - Decision
Alves - KO - This is going to be a great fight
Torres - KO - Should be fight of the night and super high pace
Santiago - Submission

Sill on the fence on this one. Huge Mir fan, but with 3-4 UFC coming up in the next 6 weeks, may hold of on this.
